The recently renovated Barcelona hotel is the last Spanish addition to the renowned international consortium for 2014, which includes 436 hotels in 80 countries.
In order to join this select international association of independent establishments, Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona underwent in-depth auditing at the hands of The Leading Hotels of the World’s team of the experts, which evaluated 1,500 features such as hospitality, cuisine, staff and facilities, as well as the finer details that make each hotel unique.
Over three years of work with the hotel team and an extensive 30-million-euro renovation were needed to bring the hotel’s facilities and services in line with the high standards demanded by the consortium and convince its strict judges that Majestic Hotel & Spa is indeed one of the world’s best hotels. Of the hundreds of establishments worldwide that applied to join this select group over the last year, only 17 were successful.
