Marriott France deploys iBAHN in three key hotels

iBAHN, the worldwide leader in digital entertainment and Internet solutions for the hospitality and meeting industries, announces that it has completed a full High Speed Internet Access (HSIA) installation at three key hotels in France – the Marriott Charles De Gaulle, Marriott Champs Elysees, and Renaissance Arc de Triomphe, incorporating both wired and wireless connectivity.

The Marriott Charles De Gaulle serves important flight links to France and as part of its recent refurbishment, guests will now enjoy wired access in its 300 guestrooms, conference facilities and common areas.

The Marriott Champs Elysees, which is a five-star property serving a mix of leisure and business guests, now has wired and wireless access in its 192 guestrooms and public areas, as well as six conference rooms with wired and wireless HSIA.

The Renaissance Arc de Triomphe now has wired and wireless access in its 118 rooms, and also offers two Internet PC stations in the hotel’s public areas, offering print-me and airline-button functionality that provide direct access to arrival and departure times at relevant local airports.

Business travellers with sensitive corporate information will also benefit from the highest standards of data security through iBAHN’s Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) solution, which eliminates the ability to steal guest data and provides total separation between different wireless users.

In addition, iBAHN offers a Virtual Private Network (VPN) certification programme and unlimited IP addresses, which allow business travellers to connect easily to their own corporate network.

Eric Bouf, General Manager of Marriott Charles De Gaulle, comments: “We selected iBAHN because it can provide the Marriott Charles De Gaulle with a complete Internet Access service. iBAHN is also a worldwide brand that travellers know and trust, and its record of achievement to date ideally places it to deliver the high performance we expect for our customers.”

Graeme Powell, Managing Director EMEA, iBAHN, adds: “These three properties represent some of the most significant hotels serving business travellers in France. We are pleased to add these prestigious names to our French partner list, which continues to go from strength-to-strength and we hope to announce additional partners in the region shortly.”

Emmanuel de Roquefeuil is responsible for HSIA sales in France; Jacques Bodin is responsible for IPTV sales in France. Both work closely with hotels on the ground to assist with planning and installation of digital convergence, HSIA and IP television.
