Mr Martin’s extensive 40-year long career in the hospitality industry began at the tender age of 12, where he developed an intense passion for service and cooking. Having completed culinary school in central France, Mr Martin went on to hold several positions as a Sommelier and Manager in numerous esteemed hotels and has gained a wealth of international experience in the UK, the United States, France, Thailand and the West Indies. He has worked for many globally recognised hotel brands including Hilton and Le Royal Meriden. Most notably, Mr Martin was the Director of Food and Beverage of Relais & Chateaux partner, Hotel Les Roches, Le Lavandou, whose restaurant held a Michelin star.
Mr Martin has demonstrated effective leadership by successfully climbing the career ladder in the luxury sector, previously holding the position of Director of Food and Beverage at three world-renowned Thai hotels: The Landmark Hotel Bangkok, Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort and Bangkok Marriot Riverside. With an impressive long-standing career in the hospitality industry, he has garnered impeccable taste and broad knowledge of luxury and the hospitality industry. Mr Martin will be a fantastic and positive addition to Maslina Resort. He will bring innovative ideas and provide excellent support to the hotel’s outstanding team.
