MCR Development received Residence Inn by Marriott "Hotel of the Year", and won six other accolades at Marriott Conference

This year's conference was attended by general managers from each of the five Marriott select service and extended stay brands and focused on training, teambuilding, and reinforcing Marriott's "spirit to serve".

NEW YORK – MCR Development LLC proudly announced that its Residence Inn by Marriott Hunt Valley Hotel located in Hunt Valley, MD was awarded the 2012 Residence Inn “Hotel of the Year” Award at the Marriott General Manager’s Conference in Orlando, FL. All told, seven MCR properties won Marriott accolades at the conference and 2012 marks the third consecutive year that the Hunt Valley property was honored as a top performing hotel after being awarded the 2011 Residence Inn by Marriott “Hotel of the Year” Award, and the 2010 Residence Inn by Marriott Chairman’s Circle Award. Only one other Residence Inn has ever won the “Hotel of the Year” two years in a row. MCR awards earned at the Conference included:

  • Residence Inn by Marriott Hunt Valley (Hunt Valley, MD)

Gold Circle Award (For hotels in the top 10% of Overall Guest Satisfaction)

  • Towne Place Suites by Marriott Arundel Mills (Hanover, MD)

Silver Circle Award (For hotels in the top 20% of Overall Guest Satisfaction)

  • Residence Inn by Marriott Atlantic City Airport (Egg Harbor Township, NJ)
  • Residence Inn by Marriott Arundel Mills (Hanover, MD)
  • SpringHill Suites by Marriott Arundel Mills (Hanover, MD)
  • SpringHill Suites by Marriott Long Island (Brookhaven, NY)
  • Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Baltimore White Marsh (Baltimore, MD)

Commenting on the awards, Tyler Morse, CEO of MCR Development said, “I am extremely proud of the hard work and effort put forth by our team. This year’s conference was attended by general managers from each of the five Marriott select service and extended stay brands and focused on training, teambuilding, and reinforcing Marriott’s “spirit to serve”. Iconic leaders such as former president Bill Clinton, Chairman and CEO of PepsiCo, Indra Nooyi, and Executive Chairman J.W. Marriott, Jr, attended and shared lessons and leadership perspectives.
