Mercure settles in Argentina

The brand is now the biggest 4-star hotel chain in South America.

Mercure is present in fifty-three countries with 707 hotels and over 90,000 rooms, 9,000 of which are located in South America. However, it has its sights on winning over an ever-larger clientele. The brand’s development approach is based on the principle of respecting the unique character of each hotel and emphasizing the value of the local and national culture.

A stylish and environmentally friendly hotel
The Mercure Iru Iguazu is situated in the Iryapu forest region, just twenty minutes from Puerto Iguazu International Airport and the country’s main tourist attractions such as the Iguazu Falls. The hotel itself is the perfect combination of comfort, design and environmental friendliness.

Its 100 rooms are comfortable and modern with an emphasis on natural materials and warm colour schemes, all of which combine to create a cosy atmosphere that encourages guests to relax as well as to discover the local culture.

The construction of this new hotel was directed by SATAI (Television, Telecommunications, Audiovisual Services and Interactive Data). The architecture of the Mercure Iru Iguazu was designed to blend into the natural environment of the forest and its ecosystem. This effort not only produced an aesthetically beautiful building, but it also made quite a difference as it reduced the environmental impact of the construction work. Therefore, it goes without saying that this hotel complies with ecotourism standards and Accor’s sustainable development commitment.
