Moroccan tourism sector set for more growth in 2013

Morocco attracts tourists from all over the world, especially at the start of summer, as the climate is mild and refreshing and a number of resorts and hotels offer attractive packages.

EL JADIDA, MOROCCO – Morocco’s tourism sector has seen significant recovery during 2013. Statistics from Moroccan Ministry of Tourism show that revenue from the tourism industry crossed 4.37 billion Moroccon dirhams (approximately US $506 million) this January, an increase of 5.9 per cent over the corresponding period last year.

Analysts attribute this growth to the 3.4% increase in the number of tourists in the first quarter, according to figures from the Ministry of Tourism of Morocco.
