Located on the Napa Valley Vine trail, the 50 room The Elene – along with its full-service restaurant and all day cafe, Pool, recovery garden, bike barn, and spacious outdoor amenities – will reimagine the classic wine country getaway.

NAPA VALLEY, CALIF. – Mosaic Hotel Collection, a group of award-winning hotels across Northern California and beyond, and Napa Valley Land Company, a St. Helena-based hotel and resort development firm, announce the start of construction on The Elene, a new boutique resort and dining experience set to open in Napa Valley in early 2026. Concepted and managed by Mosaic Hotel Collection with design by renowned firm Signum Architecture and interiors by Parts and Labor Design, The Elene is designed to offer a fresh perspective on traditional wine country getaways by embracing active community experiences in nature, while balancing inner reflection and recovery through public and private sanctuary spaces. The resort, which is uniquely located along the Napa Valley Vine Trail for direct trail access, will feature 50 guest rooms and dramatic suites, a heated pool, Recovery Garden, and fitness studio. Coupled with public amenities including a restaurant, bar, café, outdoor “Living Room”, and a robust cycling program and bike barn, The Elene is designed to organically foster engagement between the community and the stunning natural landscape.

“The Elene caters to today’s sophisticated traveler, offering both guests and locals a more immersive and authentic Napa Valley experience focused on engaging with their surrounding experiences,” says Tim Harmon, CEO of Mosaic Hotel Collection. “All aspects of The Elene, from its clean design to its intentional programming, embody a less-is-more ethos – eliminating distractions to provide a platform for true connection. We’re thrilled for everyone to experience the relaxed luxury and authentic Napa lifestyle at The Elene in 2026.”

Located on a 3.5-acre property in Napa Valley, The Elene’s location makes it the ideal home base for active discovery, exploration, and enjoyment of the region’s most remarkable offerings. The resort acts as a bridge connecting the community to the Napa Valley Vine Trail – a walking and biking trail system that will span 47 miles through wine country – and will serve as a community gathering place for before and after rides. Its idyllic locale amidst the vineyards is also positioned just three miles from the town of Yountville and five miles from downtown Napa, offering easy access to dozens of world-class restaurants, wineries, retail, music and entertainment venues, and more.

Design & Accommodations Centered on Conscious Luxury

The Elene’s dramatic design and thoughtful features architecture by Signum, an award-winning Napa Valley-based firm that has designed some of the region’s top hotels and wineries, including Hall Wines and CADE Estates, along with interiors by Parts and Labor Design and landscape design by Surfacedesign, a San Francisco-based landscape architecture and urban design firm that has developed impressive grounds across the Bay Area and wine country, including the Lands End Lookout, Odette Estate Winery, and the transformation of Robert Mondavi Winery. Seamlessly integrated with the picturesque vineyards, the resort is designed as a collection of free-standing structures surrounding a central arrival area and woven together by well-considered and beautifully landscaped outdoor gathering spaces. Co-developed by Greg Pitts, owner of Napa Valley Land Company and Partner at Panoramic Advisors, the spacious grounds include a public café, central courtyard, and bike center that complements the more private, intimate resort. The Elene is also committed to minimizing environmental impact and protecting its surrounding landscape, with an innovative water recycling program and solar program, as well as a variety of initiatives to reduce carbon emissions, including incentives to walk and bike to the property.

“The opportunity to develop a new luxury resort set in the middle of the Napa Valley Agricultural Preserve is rare and will likely never happen again,” says Greg Pitts. “We look forward to sharing this special location in the valley with our guests and the larger Napa community.”

The resort’s 50 suites and rooms, including 46 vineyard view guest rooms and four luxury suites, are designed with an intentional approach to conscious luxury. Each guest room will serve as its own private sanctuary, featuring private side entries, oversized residential-like bathrooms, luxurious finishes, expansive glass windows letting in natural light, and graciously sized decks with lounge areas, fire pits, and stunning vineyard and mountain views – perfect for unwinding after a day exploring Napa’s great outdoors. The Elene’s four, third-story luxury suites are poised to be among the best suite offerings in Napa Valley, offering nearly 1,200 feet of interior and exterior space, an expanded bedroom, living room, dining room and kitchen, and panoramic views that afford guests an immersive look at the changing light and vineyard scenery from dusk to dawn. All interiors mimic the overarching design vision of The Elene – embodying the relaxed luxury of Napa Valley and celebrating comfort and familiarity over formality and flash.

A New Community Hub: Dining & Gathering

The Elene will include a variety of public onsite dining options that will cater equally to the local community and travelers, including an upscale restaurant, a house bar, and a café. The restaurant will serve live-fire cuisine that resonates with simplicity, depth, and the authenticity of the surrounding elements and landscapes. Meanwhile, the café and adjacent courtyard will operate as a community gathering spot for guests, locals, and Napa Valley Vine Trail riders to enjoy a pre- or post-trail coffee, cold pressed juice, or signature wood fired Hand Pies in a relaxed and casual setting.

The guest arrival experience begins with inviting views of the public courtyard, which will welcome guests and locals to organically gather and connect, with comfortable sitting areas, water fountains, communal fire tables, and a place to park your bike upon arrival. Nestled deeper into the property, a lush outdoor “Living Room” will feature intimate lounge areas with fire tables and dramatic views to be enjoyed by those coming from the resort, adjacent pool, or bike trail.

Experiences & Amenities for a Balanced Lifestyle

The Elene’s unique amenities will provide guests with all of the necessities to actively explore the region, recover and rejuvenate, or both – including the signature outdoor “Living Room”, a heated 25-yard pool perfect for morning laps and afternoon relaxation, an innovative water recovery circuit, a transformative Recovery Garden, a movement and fitness studio, a cycling program and bike barn, and multiple gathering lawns. For modern-day travelers and locals seeking a balanced lifestyle, the resort’s cycling program will offer a unique opportunity to explore the best of Napa Valley on two wheels. Bike-centric programming will take advantage of the Napa Valley Vine Trail in The Elene’s backyard to include everything from guided rides for the casual rider to high-end demos and extensive training programs for serious bikers.

After a day of exploring the outdoors, guests can indulge in the onsite Recovery Garden, designed by luxury spa and design consultant, Lydia Mondavi. A departure from the formality of a traditional hotel spa, the Recovery Garden prioritizes an active recovery experience through a circuit of self-care rituals designed to trigger the body’s natural defenses and improve mood, energy, and clarity. Guests can circulate between an infrared sauna, hot and cold plunge, and a thermal mineral pool with targeted massage showers, for the ultimate reset from the inside out.

Management

The Elene is concepted and managed by Mosaic Hotel Collection, a collection of individually branded, modern boutique hotels under the umbrella of Palisades Hospitality Group, a bespoke hospitality company. Mosaic creates award-winning hotels, including North Block Hotel in Yountville, CA; El Dorado Hotel & Kitchen in Sonoma, CA; Olema House in Point Reyes, CA; and The Madrona in Healdsburg, CA, which was recently named one of 2023’s best new resorts by both Travel + Leisure and Conde Nast Traveler and Campos Polanco, a high-end guest house with One Michelin Star in Mexico City.  The Elene will further elevate Mosaic Hotel Collection’s diverse collection of exceptional properties, which are designed to authentically capture the best of their destinations through design, atmosphere, dining, and experiences. Mosaic Hotel Collection is owned and controlled by CEO Tim Harmon, who has developed and managed over 30 branded and independent properties within Mosaic and the larger Palisades Hospitality Group collection.

The Elene is being constructed by Nordby Construction, who have decades of experience in building wineries in the Napa Valley for high-profile wine labels.
