Parkdean Resorts have released their brand new Adventure Report, revealing the UK’s favourite adventure activities, with mountain biking coming in as the top choice to get that adrenaline pumping.
As we head towards Easter half term, Britons are on the lookout for new, exciting activities to fill their weekends and Easter holidays! With online searches for “activities sports” up 125% in the last 12 months, it’s evident Brits are ready to get back out there and experience new adventures!
The top five favourite adventure activities in the UK
Mountain Biking
With 642,140 searches, mountain biking comes in at the top spot as Britain’s favourite adventure activity! The West Midlands, Surrey, Yorkshire, Cumbria and Devon come in as the best places to get that blood pumping.
Kayaking
In second place as Brits favourite adventure activity is kayaking. This water sport is not for the faint-hearted and had 214,690 searches in the last 12 months, with Hampshire ranking as the UK’s best spot for the activity.
Longboarding
Coming in at third is longboarding with 29,000 searches. Longboarding is perfect for people looking for curbside adventure – but don’t forget your helmet and pads.
Bodyboarding
Bodyboarding is the perfect activity for enjoying those coastal getaways and has seen 24,950 searches! Devon, Cornwall, Wales and Yorkshire came in as Brit’s favourite bodyboarding spots, where you can catch both waves and rays.
Surfing
In fifth is surfing, (for those who have mastered bodyboarding) with 21,330 searches! Surfing is the perfect activity for you to enjoy both the sun and the sea, and get that adrenaline pumping.
