MXPRESS microsites for smartphones and tablets help hotels capture mobile customers

Cloud-based web solution serves up convenience and enhances guests' experience with hotels.

FORT WORTH, TX – Digital Alchemy, the pioneer of customer relationship management (CRM) and eMarketing solutions for the global hotel market, is helping the hospitality industry better engage with today’s increasingly mobile-friendly guests through their new MXPRESS mobile microsites. MXPRESS is part of Digital Alchemy’s recently launched Mobile Life suite, a comprehensive offering of Cloud-based mobile solutions designed to meet virtually every hotel marketing and guest service demand, via the mobile platform.

The need for hotels to have a dedicated mobile microsite, or mobile-friendly website, has never been greater. Today, over half of local searches originate on a mobile device. Studies have shown that 74% of consumers will wait no more than five seconds for a website to load on their smartphone or tablet before abandoning the site. Without a mobile microsite like MXPRESS, hotels run the risk of losing mobile visitors, along with potential revenue and booking opportunities.

Using intuitive technology, MXPRESS automatically detects the device accessing it and serves up the mobile phone, tablet, or desktop optimized version for a seamless transition between a property’s primary website and the custom-branded mobile microsite. The consistent branding and easy-to-navigate display of a property’s most popular and profitable amenities help guests to stay engaged. Other conveniences of MXPRESS for site visitors include interactive maps, photo galleries, clickable phone numbers, and email addresses. Because all Mobile Life solutions are web-based, hotel guests are never forced to download and install unwanted apps on their mobile devices. Instead, the link can be accessed from email communications or embedded on the hotel website as well as scanned using QR codes placed on keycards, door hangers, room signage, or other marketing materials.

Hoteliers also benefit from an array of MXPRESS’ operational benefits. Since the microsites are completely Cloud-based, they eliminate the need for costly infrastructure such as on-site servers and do not require the purchase or maintenance of software. Designated hotel staff members simply manage MXPRESS through a powerful CMS interface at their desk or make changes via their phone’s browser. The usage of soft-push specials and other upgraded features help hotels to generate new revenue. Aside from hotels, the MXPRESS mobile microsites are ideal for spas, golf courses, meeting planners and other service-oriented businesses.

“Microsoft projects that by 2014 mobile Internet will overtake desktop Internet usage. Forward thinking hotels must stay ahead of the times to be competitive in today’s market place,” says Don Hay, Digital Alchemy’s CEO. “We developed MXPRESS with both the hotel and end user in mind. The mobile microsites deliver pertinent information when and where guests want it, all while providing ROI opportunities for the property.”

Hotels using other Digital Alchemy solutions will also benefit from MXPRESS through its complete integration to the rest of Digital Alchemy’s suite of eMarketing services. For example, hotels using eRelationship can typically include a link to MXPRESS in reservation confirmation or other pre-stay emails, then collect feedback on a guest experience by linking MXPRESS to mSurvey, Digital Alchemy’s mobile survey collection tool. MXPRESS may also be used as a stand-alone solution without losing functionality.
