New Croatia internal flights open up two centre holiday options for travellers

The flights are operated by domestic carrier Trade Air on behalf of Croatia Airlines.

The launch of two internal flights in Croatia has opened up the two centre holiday options for travellers this summer, according to Prestige Holidays. The flights, operated by domestic carrier Trade Air on behalf of Croatia Airlines, connect the world-famous walled city of Dubrovnik in the south of Croatia with Rijeka in Northern Adriatic and Rijeka with Split in the Mid Dalmatia region.

David Skillicorn, General Manager, Prestige Holidays, comments: “The new services will make it much easier for holidaymakers to enjoy two diverse Croatian holiday locations. Also with internal flights starting from around £50 per person they are very cost effective. We are confident that this will result in a surge in two centre breaks in what is already one of our top selling destinations for 2014.”

The flight from Dubrovnik to Rijeka takes just over an hour and makes it easy for holidaymakers to combine a break in this UNESCO listed town with its breathtaking monuments and palaces with a stay in Opatija (40 minutes from Rijeka airport) where tourism began 170 years ago. Often referred to as “a double for Nice”, Opatija is home to the 12 km long Lungomare sea-hugging promenade, exquisite Belle Epoque buildings, beautiful parks and gourmet restaurants.

Prestige Holidays is offering a six night two centre five star break departing 23 September 2014 including: flights with Easyjet from London Gatwick to Dubrovnik and back from Zagreb to Gatwick, three nights in Hotel More in Dubrovnik on a BB basis, flights from Dubrovnik to Rijeka and three nights at Hotel Milenij in Opatija on BB with transfers throughout.

The new Rijeka to Split service takes around 30 minutes and enables travellers to combine a stay on the stunning island of Rab with a break in the vibrant city of Split. Rab features 22 sandy bays and a historical unspoilt town with four towers, ramparts, piazzas and palaces as well as an open air theatre in a walled garden. Split is a majestic city with a wonderful riva (seafront) and the Palace of Roman Emperor Diocletian at its core – the four walls still stand.
