NewBook announced new waitlist feature

This functionality will allow operators to maximize occupancy, increase revenue opportunities, cater to guests’ expectations around cancellation policies and easily manage potential guests.

Global Property Management System provider, NewBook, has announced its new waitlist feature. This functionality will allow operators to maximize occupancy, increase revenue opportunities, cater to guests' expectations around cancellation policies and easily manage potential guests.

NewBook’s Head of Product, Amy Gibbons, stated: “The impact of COVID-19 on the travel industry has led technology suppliers to innovate and create features designed to assist accommodation providers in managing these challenging times. We’re excited to add the waitlist to our suite of features and have already received an overwhelming response from our users on the positive impacts this will have on their operations, occupancy and guest experience.”

The application and customization of the waitlist technology is unique in the industry. Accommodation providers have complete flexibility in adding guest preferred travel dates with exact match or within a date range in a certain month. Room or site categories are also able to be customized to guest requirements from a specific site, or room to a range of suitable options.

NewBook client and Managing Director of Innoviv, Andrew Chapman, said: “The new waitlist functionality will be a fantastic addition to the NewBook system. It was a pleasure to be able to provide input into this upgrade that has resulted in a well-planned, efficient, and streamlined process for the management of our waitlists. This will certainly improve what was a labor intensive and cumbersome manual process for our front office staff previously.”

NewBook has a solid track record in developing innovative features and the waitlist is no exception.
