Nomad Tanzania, one of East Africa’s original safari companies, has announced the latest addition to their Tanzanian portfolio, Kigelia Ruaha. Set in a secluded grove of Kigelia in Southern Tanzania on the banks of the Ifuguru Sand River, the camp is sited in the best wildlife area in Ruaha National Park.
Nomad Tanzania has taken ownership of Kigelia Ruaha, previously an Afrika Afrika camp and will be operating “as is” until 7th January 2014, after which it will re-open on 1st June 2014 after a cosmetic renovation as a Nomad Tanzania Camp.

From June to September, walking safaris are at their best. It is also a great time to see elephant and buffalo herds. October to November, when the weather is dry and hot offers heavy concentrates of game around the inland lakes and the more humid period of December to March enables guests the opportunity to view an abundance of bird life and the possibility to witness many animals calving.
A variety of activities are available including game drives in open 4WD vehicles, walking safaris, sundowners and bush picnics. Due to its remote location and the lack of human inhabitants there is a heavy concentration of game in the area and a plethora of wildlife ensuring an invigorating safari experience in one of the most unique spots in Tanzania.
