ATLANTA – Omni Hotels & Resorts and the Atlanta Braves commemorated the opening of the Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta with a ribbon cutting celebration. As the official hotel of the Atlanta Braves, the property is located at The Battery Atlanta, the city's newest mixed-use complex and home to SunTrust Park, the Coca-Cola Roxy music venue, shopping, dining and premier office space. The hotel opened its doors to its first guests on January 3, 2018. Today's ceremony marked a major milestone in the expansion of The Battery Atlanta, one of the South's most dynamic developments.
"We are thrilled to welcome the local community to experience our newest destination," said Jim Caldwell, chief executive officer of Omni Hotels & Resorts. "We are proud to partner with the Atlanta Braves on this landmark project and honored to join the community within The Battery Atlanta. It has been a pleasure partnering with Terry McGuirk and the Atlanta Braves organization to bring the vision of this hotel to life."
The ribbon cutting festivities featured remarks from Caldwell; Terry McGuirk, chairman and CEO of the Atlanta Braves; Dr. Gil Watson, pastor emeritus at Northside United Methodist Church; and Ramon Reyes, general manager of Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta. Following the dedication ceremony and ribbon cutting, attendees enjoyed light bites from Achie's restaurant by acclaimed Chef Hugh Acheson and wine selections in the hotel's Lobby Bar. Tours of the 264-room property featured the hotel's Presidential Suite with private terrace and the fifth-floor pool deck steps away from SunTrust Park home plate. Guests also browsed South End Trading Company, a distinct retail store with a curated collection of American craft art installations, retro Americana, whimsical baseball items, local art and fashion, and music records inspired by the neighboring Coca-Cola Roxy music venue.
"Omni Hotels & Resorts and TRT Holdings have been a pleasure to work with as our official hotel partner in Atlanta," said McGuirk. "The Battery Atlanta and SunTrust Park are important economic engines for our region, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. Now visitors and local Braves fans can stay the night in The Battery Atlanta to enjoy even more of what this special place has to offer."

Shades of red and blue inspired by Braves colors accompany custom artwork throughout the hotel. Guest room numbers branded into wood paneling (reminiscent of a baseball bat) and framed antique scouting reports are a few of the details that reflect the local color. Sophisticated design pairs with state-of-the-art technology, as the area is powered by an all-fiber network with the highest-capacity serving any mixed-use community or ballpark in the nation. As a regional epicenter for meetings and social events, the hotel has more than 20,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom.
