ONE DAYTONA welcomes first P.F. Chang’s to Daytona Beach

Development announces select-service hotel brand, name for Autograph Collection Hotel, residential units in Phase One, and new retailer and food and beverage tenant.

DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – ONE DAYTONA, the planned mixed-use and entertainment destination across from Daytona International Speedway set to open in 2017, welcomes P.F. Chang’s. Shaner Hotels and Prime Hospitality Group (PHG) also announced the name of the new Marriott Autograph Collection hotel – The DAYTONA, and the flag for their select-service hotel – Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott. Prime Group also serves as the developer for an approximate 268-unit residential apartment community, originally planned for a later phase and now part of the initial phase of ONE DAYTONA. Additional new regional retail and national food and beverage tenants will include Hy’s Toggery and Kilwins Confections. Located directly across from Daytona International Speedway, ONE DAYTONA also welcomes DAYTONA Rising Founding Partners: Toyota, Florida Hospital, Chevrolet and Sunoco as Inaugural Partners.

Its first location in Daytona Beach, P.F. Chang’s will become part of ONE DAYTONA’s high-energy Victory Circle with an approximately 5,500-square foot space featuring indoor and outdoor upscale dining. With dishes and flavors inspired by the intersection of history, food and culture across Asia, its scratch kitchen menu serves fresh ingredients made by hand for lunch and dinner, alongside a progressive wine list, innovative cocktails, house-made ginger beer and freshly brewed loose-leaf teas.

“We’re thrilled to enter the growing Daytona Beach market and believe ONE DAYTONA is an ideal location,” said Wayne Jones, President / COO, P.F. Chang’s. “We are excited to welcome new guests to experience our unique Asian-inspired cuisine and will be a committed partner to the surrounding community.”

“P.F. Chang’s is in the upper echelon of the casual restaurant category and a key tenant for ONE DAYTONA,” said ISC CEO Lesa France Kennedy. “We welcome them to the community with open arms.”

The 144-room Marriott Autograph Collection hotel will be known as The DAYTONA, a property designed with motorsports in mind, but exactly like nothing else. Shaner Hotels and PHG announce Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott as the flag for their approximately 105-room select service hotel, also opening with the first phase of ONE DAYTONA.

“The Fairfield Inn & Suites is an amazing complement to The DAYTONA,” said Prime Group CEO Larry Abbo. “The property will offer premium rooms, facilities and amenities to help travelers maintain momentum and stay balanced while traveling. With smart spaces and health conscious options, we will provide an upbeat, stress-free experience. We are excited about our free Wi-Fi, large sun deck and swimming pool, fitness facilities, free daily breakfast and the established, affordable performance of Marriott and Fairfield Inn & Suites.”

Prime Group will also serve as the developer for approximately 268 luxury apartment rental units. Following an extensive request for proposal process, ONE DAYTONA chose the Florida developer based on their command of market demographics, development experience and expert property management systems. Prime Group, known for its sustainable real estate construction, development and management, is planning a four-story midrise campus, and lakefront garden style apartments on the east side of the property and within walking distance of the new 12-screen Cobb Theatre and all the exciting shopping, dining and entertainment offerings at ONE DAYTONA.

Also entirely new to the Daytona Beach area, ONE DAYTONA adds premium retailer Hy’s Toggery, along with food and beverage tenant Kilwins Confections. Hy’s Toggery, located in Pier Park, a premium open-air shopping center in Panama City Beach, is family-owned and specializes in the finest clothing and footwear brands. Owners Gary and Josh Wakstein will design their custom storefront alongside three of their most popular national retailers – Guy Harvey, Columbia Sportswear, and Southern Tide.

Planned for the ground level of The DAYTONA, Hy’s Toggery will feature more than 12,000 square feet of retail space focused on the southern lifestyle. Known for their outerwear, performance wear and modern classics, customers can find their favorite brands including Costa, Vineyard Vines, TOMS, Olukai, Yeti, Patagonia, North Face, Kuhl, Southern Marsh, Tommy Bahama, and Southern Shirt, among others.

“We are beyond thrilled to enter the Daytona Beach market,” said Gary Wakstein, Owner, Hy’s Toggery. “I have had my eye on this destination for many years and ONE DAYTONA is ideal with its close proximity to the Speedway and unique environment being created centered on enjoyment and excellence. Our national brands will resonate with residents and visitors who are fans of an active outdoor lifestyle.”

Also located below The DAYTONA will be Kilwins Confections. Kilwins is recognized instantly by its sweet smell, and known for original recipe made-in-store fudge, caramel corn and brittle and caramel apples, its hand-crafted chocolates, and premium ice cream made from the very best ingredients, from recipes developed in 1947. Their products are presented in a unique, Americana atmosphere by people who genuinely care for their customers. Kilwins is where people come to celebrate, vacation and share with family and friends.
