Palace Downtown appoints Marianne Fitzgerald as General Manager

An Austrian national, Marianne Fitzgerald has a wealth of knowledge and experience spanning over 25 years in the luxury hospitality industry. 

DUBAI, UAE – Emaar Hospitality Group, the hospitality and leisure business of Emaar Properties PJSC, has appointed Marianne Fitzgerald as the General Manager of Palace Downtown, a premium luxury hotel under Address Hotels + Resorts, and ideally positioned by the Burj Lake, near the iconic Burj Khalifa in Downtown Dubai.

An Austrian national, Marianne has a wealth of knowledge and experience spanning over 25 years in the luxury hospitality industry. She will be responsible for driving the day-to-day operations of Palace Downtown, as well as further elevating the unique positioning of the exquisite Arabesque hotel.

Marianne has previously held managerial positions in F&B as well as operations at renowned hotels across Europe and the Middle East. Under her leadership, the hotels have been globally recognised for their commitment to excellence in the hospitality industry. She also has a strong background in human resource management including recruitment and training.

Following her graduation in Hospitality Management from Donau-Universitat Krems, Marianne trained at IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems in Austria before embarking on an impressive career that took her from her home country, Austria, to Ireland and the UAE. With a passion for languages, she is fluent in English, French and German.

Located in one of the most spectacular locations of Dubai, Palace Downtown offers 242 spacious and luxurious guest rooms inclusive of 81 suites with a captivating Middle Eastern theme.
