Park Hospitality adds seven hotels and more than 1,100 rooms in October and November 2001

Minneapolis, Minn.: Park Hospitality<.>, parent company of Park Plaza and Park Inn hotels in North America, last week announced that it opened seven hotels and added over 1,100 guestrooms during October and November. This represents a 48 percent growth for the brand since January. Park executives said this continued strong growth, coupled with several pending development agreements, is fueling an ambitious period of expansion continuing through 2002.

The seven new properties added to the Park portfolio in October and November are located in Denver, Colo., Harvey, Ill., Oxon Hill, Md., Hickory, N.C., Lancaster, Pa., Santa Fe, N.M., and Palm Springs, Calif.

Park Inn Denver Airport, Colorado

The Park Inn Denver Airport offers 198 newly renovated guest rooms and suites, and 7,000 square feet of banquet and meeting space to accommodate small and large groups. The hotel is conveniently located near local golf courses and shopping malls, and offers complimentary shuttle upon request to Denver International Airport. For the comfort and convenience of its guests, the hotel features an outdoor swimming pool, business services and coin-operated laundry facilities.

Park Inn Harvey, Illinois

The Park Inn Harvey is a 290-room hotel offering 20,000 square feet of meeting space, a fitness facility, and Michael`s Restaurant where good times and good taste meet. Located about 25 minutes from downtown Chicago, the hotel is minutes from many area attractions including Hollywood Park, featuring indoor/outdoor amusement for the whole family, and Chicago Southland Speedway, offering outdoor car racing. The hotel has a concierge floor with a private executive lounge and offers a lavish limo for rent to any nearby mall, downtown Chicago or to visit any of the theaters, local restaurants or one of the 10 nearby golf courses.

Park Inn Oxon Hill, Maryland

Only six miles from downtown Washington D.C. and minutes from Olde Town Alexandria, Va., the Park Inn Oxon Hill is close to hundreds of area attractions include Bolling Air Force Base, Andrews Air Force Base, the White House, national monuments and Six Flags Amusement Park. The hotel features 123 guestrooms, outdoor pool, and meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 50 people.

Park Inn Hickory, North Carolina

The Park Inn Hickory boasts 15,000 square feet of meeting space to accommodate up to 1,200 people and is considered the premier meeting facility in the area. Recently named one of the nation`s 10 most liveable cities by Reader`s Digest magazine, Hickory is located in the foothills of North Carolina`s Blue Ridge Mountains. More than 60 percent of the nation`s furniture is produced in this area. Guests of the hotel can experience the nearby Hickory Plaza Shopping Center, the Catawba Furniture mall and Broyhill`s Furniture Gallery, the largest gallery of its kind in the world.

Park Inn Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Located in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country, the 193-room Park Inn Lancaster is only minutes from local area attractions including the Renaissance Fair at Mount Hope Winery; Amish Country Village-Dutch Wonderland, a children`s amusement park; Hershey Park; and outlet center shopping. The hotel features several venues for active guests, including indoor and outdoor pools, tennis, handball and basketball courts, a sauna and game room.
