FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. – Plunge Beach Resort, Lauderdale-By-The-Sea’s stylish retreat and off-the-radar getaway located on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, announce the appointment of Joe Imbrogno as General Manager. Joe has a wealth of knowledge in hospitality, sales, marketing, and relationship development, as well as a passion for creating memorable experiences.
Prior to taking on this role at Plunge, Joe served as the Assistant General Manager and the Director of Guest Excellence at the property, where he worked to deliver superior customer service and create a fun environment for guests. He spent a year as the Guest Experience Ambassador at Sonesta Hotel Fort Lauderdale Beach, where he gained valuable hands-on hospitality experience. In addition, Joe has over 25 years of professional background in organizational management, including leading and managing teams, budgeting and contract negotiations, business administration, marketing, social media management, and event planning.

Upon graduating from The Wharton School of Business at The University of Pennsylvania, Imbrogno joined NELSON, an architecture and planning firm based in Philadelphia, PA, where he progressed through various positions in the firm, enhancing his leadership and customer service skills, as well as his deal and negotiation coordination. During his 17-year tenure, Imbrogno served in various capacities, ultimately being named the Chief Transformation Officer,
where he led a period of rapid acquisition growth and opened 10 new offices in the US, India, and the UK. Following his time at NELSON, Imbrogno’s career path moved in the direction of hospitality. Before working at Plunge and Sonesta, Imbrogno obtained his hospitality marketing knowledge as the co-owner of Exakt Marketing, a marketing agency that focuses on crafting "unique experiences" for hotel and spa guests, college and university students, event attendees, restaurant diners, and fitness club members.
