Pretoria boutique hotel joins Southern Spoor portfolio

Located 30 minutes’ drive from OR Tambo in Pretoria East, Ivory Manor is an intimate five-star boutique hotel with nine individually decorated guestrooms.

Southern Spoor Marketing, one of Africa’s leading hospitality representation companies, announced that Ivory Manor Boutique Hotel in Pretoria East has joined its portfolio of unique, privately owned hotels and lodges in South Africa and Kenya. Located 30 minutes’ drive from OR Tambo in Pretoria East, Ivory Manor is an intimate five-star boutique hotel with nine individually decorated guestrooms; a restaurant as well as various other indoor and outdoor dining areas; a wine cellar; five fully equipped conference venues; and expansive landscaped gardens that can be used for a variety of special events.

Anita Foxcroft, owner of Southern Spoor Marketing, which celebrated 20 years in hospitality in 2019, says that the company had received numerous enquiries for a property in Pretoria that would be suitable for corporate guests wanting an alternative urban hotel in Gauteng, as well as leisure guests looking for an upmarket, tranquil getaway near the city, or as a stopover en route to a safari. “Ivory Manor Boutique Hotel fits the bill perfectly. Its sophisticated decor and setting make it a popular destination for luxury escapes, romantic getaways and special occasions and events, and with five luxuriously decorated, air-conditioned conference venues and breakaway rooms, it is also an excellent venue for high-end conferencing for up to 120 delegates,” says Foxcroft.

At guests’ disposal are two stylish lounges, whiskey and cigar lounge, billiard room, swimming pool, and an impressive wine cellar available for wine tasting or as part of a wine tasting and food pairing event. Foxcroft says that Ivory Manor Boutique Hotel is renowned for its cuisine, and meals are served in a variety of locations depending on the occasion, from the wine cellar and the formal dining room, to more relaxed al fresco meals in the garden, including high teas, picnics in a forest garden, or barbeques in the boma.

We are delighted to welcome Ivory Manor Boutique Hotel to our portfolio and look forward to introducing it to the trade,” says Foxcroft.
