NEW YORK – In what promises to be a game changer for the New York hospitality landscape, Quadrum Global launches an exciting new brand of hotels, Arlo Hotels. The brand's first property, Arlo Hudson Square, a 325 key property at 231 Hudson Street, opens followed in November by the Arlo NoMad, a 250 key property located at 11 East 31 Street. Arlo Hudson Square was developed by Quadrum and Eagle Point Hotel Partners. Arlo NoMad is being developed by Quadrum, Simon Baron Development and KSNY. Both properties will be a haven for wanderers with a purpose, where against a backdrop of refined design informed urban explorers will experience moments of inspiration and spontaneous adventure.

"Arlo Hotels provide a unique experience for guests where outsiders become insiders: it's where you feel welcomed as you are, regardless of where you've been or where you're going next. It's a place that may be new but feels like you've been there before," said Quadrum Founder and CEO Oleg Pavlov. "Our hotels are designed so that everything is in its place and nothing is in excess, leaving you free to focus, think, feel, plan, create and experience what you want to the way you want to. This design is coupled with a non-intrusive service that is always in the background, supporting you but never wasting your time."

Service at Arlo Hotels will be unpretentious, organic and informal. As the first micro hotel in the United States with four-star design, Arlo Hotels will feature rooms that will provide guests with superior furnishings, fixtures and materials. Smart technology will enhance guest service; rooftop terraces and patios will become prime social destinations; and restaurants will feature celebrated chefs.

Designed to connect and engage
The Arlo Hotels brand was conceptualized and designed by Brand Bureau, and the hotel interiors were designed by its sister firm AvroKO. Each Arlo Hotel boasts a multitude of joyful, inclusive public spaces built to accommodate a variety of environments and needs with a flurry of activities throughout the day. Guests can socialize and relax, listen to music, play board games, work and meet, or dine and drink in the common spaces, all while connecting and interacting with other guests. The compact, efficient, and carefully-considered guest room designs feature warm, high-touch materials and clever elements like fold-down desks and closets with adjustable hanging pegs, which anticipate the needs of guests.

"The Arlo Hotels properties were designed with a specific type of guest and particular energy in mind," said Matthew Goodrich, Chief Creative Officer at AvroKO and Brand Bureau. "The spaces, both guest rooms and common areas, put community building at center stage. Arlo Hotels offer more than a room for the night; it's a creative, interactive experience that connects visitors to other innovative people, and supports their individual exploration and discovery."

Inspired programming
Both Arlo Hotels properties sourced innovative partners and local finds to create custom experiences to enhance the guest experience, from wellness and cultural pursuits to culinary adventures and urban exploring. Whether it's a live performance from an emerging artist, a boot camp class, pop-up product demo or a crowd-sourced art project, unique events will be designed to connect kindred spirits, spark creativity and nurture ideas.

Collaborating to Foster community
The Arlo Hotels are partnering with the makers and shakers of the creative class to foster a sense of community within the property walls. Uniforms will be designed by Miller's Oath, an exclusive bespoke label based in the Hudson Square neighborhood. Other key partners include the perennially hip Blind Barber, which will for the first time partner with a hotel to provide guest amenities including shampoo, conditioner and body wash; MOUTH, the small-batch food purveyor that will curate a general store full of snackable goodies like popcorn, jerky, taffy, single origin chocolates and more, all made by indie food producers; and JOE Coffee, a local, family-owned brand dedicated to making flawless coffee served with warm hospitality.

Anchoring the neighborhood
With every inch of the properties conceived with the guest's experience in mind, they will be encouraged to live the energy of the respective neighborhoods in every corner and space through the hotel's innovative design.

Arlo Hudson Square: 231 Hudson Street, NY, NY 10013
Set in the heart of Hudson Square just steps from SoHo, the urban rooms are thoughtfully designed to maximize space without sacrificing comfort. They blend multi-functional modern furniture, efficient storage spaces and a range of bed types with wool tufted area rugs, warm walnut furnishings and rain showers. Expansive windows showcase city and courtyard views, while select rooms have large outdoor terraces.

The property will feature a breathtaking rooftop space, designed with indoor and outdoor space to be enjoyed year-round with views of the Hudson River and One World Trade Center. The bar will offer a handpicked selection of craft beer, well-mixed cocktails and grilled snacks during warm weather months. Inspired by an artist's loft, the space has a welcoming vibe with communal tables where new friends are born, and revolving seasonal programming that serves up a festive atmosphere throughout the seasons. Other amenities include a Living Room, along with an indoor/outdoor courtyard, which will serve light bites and curated cocktails, as well as The Library, which will be located just past the lobby bar, and evolves from a co-working space during the day into an area of fun in the evening, complete with a vast selection of vintage board games, throwback movies, and cocktail service from the Lobby Bar.

Arlo NoMad: 11 E.  31st Street, NY, NY 10016
Set in the heart of NoMad just steps from the Empire State Building, the second Arlo Hotels property will feature similar room design and decor. The location is perfectly suited to tourists and leisure travelers looking to experience all Manhattan has to offer, as well as business visitors who will appreciate the proximity to Midtown's office buildings.

The property's rooftop bar will celebrate its central Midtown location, with 360 views of the city, inventive neighborhood-inspired cocktails and snacks. The creative energy of New York's eclectic NoMad neighborhood will flow into the laid-back second floor bar and adjoining terrace, where locals and guests alike will gather to hang out with friends, relax outside and nosh on delicious snacks. The rotating cocktail list, menu of small bites and communal design reflect the dynamic character of the neighborhood.

Arlo Hotels has partnered with celebrated chefs to create exciting restaurants. Arlo Hudson Square will feature Harold Moore's long-awaited Harold's Meat + Three and Arlo NoMad has teamed up with Dale Talde, David Massoni, and John Bush to open Massoni, a new inauthentic Italian restaurant.
