The British hotel group Quartz Inn Hotels has announced its arrival in Mexico with the addition of Casa Antares Hotel in Queretaro. This marks the group’s first property outside of Europe.

The Casa Antares Hotel, now renamed Casa Antares by Quartz Inn Hotels, is located very close to the Queretaro Airport, in the midst of nature and has 15 rooms. The hotel has already implemented various sustainable initiatives such as the use of biodegradable cleaning products, the reuse of greywater, rainwater harvesting, and the use of solar water heaters, among others.

“We are pleased to join Quartz Inn Hotels and be part of a group that cares about the environment and sustainable tourism. We want to offer our guests a pleasant experience, but we also want to do our part to protect the planet and promote responsible practices in the tourism industry” said Jose Pablo Ramírez Ceballos, Casa Antares by Quartz Inn Hotels’ General Manager.

Alexander Zawadzki, Director of Operations and co-founder of Quartz Inn Hotels commented: “We are delighted to welcome Casa Antares to our group. Their commitment to sustainability is admirable. We are excited to be able to bring our concept to Mexico and promote good environmental practices in the country’s independent hotels.”

Quartz Inn Hotels plans to continue expanding its franchisees throughout Latin America, with the goal of having 200 establishments by 2025. As an innovative initiative, the Board of Directors of the British company decided to include all the hotels joining in 2023 in its shareholding, so that member hotels can own a part of the brand.

The London based group was founded in 2021 by Ignacio Merino, Lidiia Tkachenko and Alexander Zawadzki.
