limehome adds first apartments in Lisbon to company’s portfolio; New units will also be built in Porto.

MUNICH / LISBON – limehome, the leading technology-based provider and operator of fully digitalised design apartments in Europe, continues to grow strongly in Portugal. The hospitality tech company recently signed contracts for more than 100 new units in Lisbon and Porto. In less than half a year, limehome has rapidly increased its planned portfolio in Portugal by a factor of eight. Further locations in smaller to medium-sized Portuguese cities and in the Algarve are already in the pipeline. For the expansion, limehome cooperates locally with Portuguese and international investors on a long-term basis.

54 of the new apartments in Portugal will come from apartment projects in the centre of Lisbon. This is the first time that limehome is present in the Portuguese capital. The new design apartments are located in the old town of the city, close to the city’s main sights. The units are spread across four buildings in prime locations and are scheduled will be available to travellers from early 2024.

In Porto, limehome has more than quadrupled its number of apartments. In addition to the existing apartments, further units will be built at three locations in the heart of the port city. The limehome apartments in the trendy Cedofeita district, where one of the new developments is located, will open as early as summer 2023. Cedofeita is particularly popular with tourists for its restaurants, art galleries and shopping. Additional apartments will open in the second half of 2023 near the Jardins do Palacio de Cristal, a Victorian garden complex in the city centre. The suites are located in a historic building and some have direct access to the hotel’s own garden. More Apartments are also planned in the Bonfim district.

Josef Vollmayr, Co-Founder and Managing Director of limehome says: “Portugal is a particularly attractive location from a hospitality perspective, as the country has established itself over the last few years as one of the main travel destinations for millennials. Ithe country’s strong economic growth is also expected to boost business travel over the next few years. Our design apartments offer ideal accommodation for both segments. We will continue our European expansion and develop it with strong partners. Our digital business model has now proven itself in many countries and locations.”
