COLUMBUS, OHIO – Red Roof announces a series of Franchise Development and Operations promotions tapping its deep bench of leadership talent promoting from within the company.
Matthew Hostetler has been promoted to Chief Development Officer. As Senior Vice President Franchise Development since 2014, Matt has been successful, bringing extensive knowledge in hospitality and franchising to Red Roof and expanding the brand through franchise development and operations support. In his new role, Matt will be leading a team responsible for driving franchise growth and entering new markets and geographies. With high demand for the brand, and building on his success, Matt is well positioned to accelerate franchise development leveraging his deep relationships with franchisees and the industry.
Additionally, Fouad Malouf, who has been with Red Roof since 1982, has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Franchise Operations overseeing locations in the U.S and international markets. Fouad most recently served as Vice President, Franchise Operations, directly supporting franchisees and the franchise operations team in their day-to-day business. Fouad’s passion – building and maintaining strong business relationships by providing unique value – has been instrumental throughout his career at Red Roof. He also serves on the Red Roof Brand Standards Committee and plays an active role with the Red Roof Franchise Advisory Council.
Alex Shamsuddin has been promoted to Regional Vice President, Franchise Development, West Coast. As Director of Franchise Sales for over four years, Alex’s efforts in driving the growth of the Red Roof brand in Texas and Oklahoma resulted in award-winning sales. In his new role, Alex is responsible for building a high-quality, customer-focused West Coast team and expanding the brand into new key markets.
Rick Schaeffer has been promoted to Regional Vice President, Franchise Development, East Coast. Rick began his hospitality career in 1990 with Red Roof as General Manager and District Training Manager. He rejoined the company in August 2018 as a Development Director where he produced award-winning sales in the northeast territory and developed strong franchisee relationships. As Regional VP he will now lead a high-level team of developers responsible for the expansive growth of Red Roof brands.
A veteran of Red Roof since 1986, Glenn Galbraith will assume the new responsibilities of Vice President of Franchise Operations. Glenn has extensive management, operations, and finance experience and is a multi-award-winning performer. In his new role he is committed to help Red Roof achieve financial goals, quality and service objectives, and increase operating performance. Working closely with franchisees, he will also ensure that brand initiatives and brand standards are achieved.
Having served 34 dedicated years with Red Roof, Jane Palumbo has been promoted to Vice President of Franchise Operations. Since joining the franchise team, she has fine-tuned many of the company’s internal processes working across the company to enhance franchisee business. As a multi-award-winning leader, she will now undertake a whole new scope of duties including guiding Franchise Operations Directors and franchisees with her operational expertise to maximize profitability, quality and guest satisfaction.
