Red Roof Inn named Best Budget Hotel Brand in the U.S. by USA Today readers

Red Roof has won the coveted Reader’s Choice Award two years in a row.

COLUMBUS, OHIO – USA Today readers have spoken, and they've named Red Roof Inn, Best Budget Hotel Brand in America for the second year in a row. This is the overall third win for Red Roof; the company won in 2017 and 2014. Citing the brand's hotels for their affordability and comfortable rooms, readers chose Red Roof over competitors including Best Western, Hyatt Place, Holiday Inn Express and Hampton by Hilton in USA Today's 10Best Readers' Choice Awards poll.

"Selected as the number one Budget Hotel Brand by USA Today readers for the second consecutive year is an honor for us and confirms that our strategy of putting guests wants and needs first will always have winning results," says Andrew Alexander, President, Red Roof.  "We are obsessive listeners at Red Roof and guest feedback is integral to how we conduct business which in turn has led to continued guest satisfaction and loyalty."

The 10Best Readers' Choice Travel Awards are chosen from 20 nominees designated by a panel of travel experts including USA Today editors, editors from 10Best.com as well as travel authors, writers and marketers. The contest allows readers to then vote online for one nominee per category, per day. The results are calculated and tabulated, culminating in the 10Best. USA Today is the nation's largest newspaper.
