PRETORIA – Sub-Saharan Africa’s abundant opportunities for investment will take centre stage at the 8th annual Hotel Investment Conference Africa (HICA).
The conference will take place at the Maslow Hotel in Johannesburg, South Africa, from 14th to the 16th of September 2014. Registration for the conference is now open and delegates are invited to take full advantage of the early-bird individual and group rates on offer.
HICA is a premier business to business networking platform for the hotel, hospitality and broader tourism industry and aims to showcase the continent’s abundant opportunities.
The conference is a leading advocate in the promotion of knowledge-sharing, education and dialogue on investment and developmental issues within the hotel, resort, mixed-use, real-estate and tourism industries across the sub-Saharan region. HICA brings together regional and international hoteliers, investors, developers and senior public sector leaders to engage and share ideas on how best the industry can capitalise on the growth opportunities available in the region.
The conference is convened by the Tourism Business Council of South Africa (TBCSA), in partnership with the Gauteng Tourism Authority and is supported by long-standing associate Pam Golding Hospitality and AfrHIC Events.
“We invite the travel and tourism trade, officials from the public sector, emerging businesses and those involved in hotel finance and development to join us as we showcase exciting projects and opportunities in the region”, says TBCSA CEO Mmatšatši Ramawela.
This year’s conference theme is “Seizing Opportunities” and the programme will focus on key elements such as sourcing structured finance, the tenants of sustainable development, the ‘African Hospitality‘ coition and advancing opportunity. “The conference will feature notable industry icons and first time appearances from leaders from the top international and regional keystone brands and operators” says Ramawela.
A special HICA Advisory Board has been especially selected to provide a broad spectrum of insight and commentary on the central topics of the conference and the elective break-out sessions.
Delegates are invited to take advantage of early registration and ensure their enrolment in the industry’s annual summit. “
