Reimagining of Murrieta Hot Springs Resort, set to reopen in late 2023

From the team behind much adored The Springs Resort in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, the completely reimagined hot springs based health resort located in Southern California promises an approachable and restorative wellness experience for all.

Originally built in the early 1900s, Murrieta Hot Springs Resort quickly gained recognition as one of the nation’s premiere wellness retreats by the mid-1900s. In 2023, extensive restoration efforts are underway to preserve the resort’s original Mission Revival-style architecture and landscape. Led by LA-based architecture and interior design firm Omgivning, enhancements are being made to the 46-acre property’s guest rooms and bungalows, along with the soaking pools and the historic bathhouse, which will be complemented by a state-of-the-art fitness center, world-class spa treatments and an array of health-conscious dining options.

The resort centers around the therapeutic benefits of natural hot springs, combining time-tested traditions with science-backed wellness programming for an integrated and restorative experience. The goal is to empower guests with experiential knowledge about their own health and lifestyle practices, enabling them to sustain their newfound vitality and well-being long after their departure. Tranquil natural surroundings, curated excursions and attentive staff ensure the resort exceeds expectations. Whether guests come to rest, relax or recharge, the goal is for guests to leave feeling more positive, energetic and enlivened than when they arrived.

Centrally located in Southern California, Murrieta Hot Springs Resort is approximately an hour and 20 minutes drive south from Los Angeles and about an hour’s drive north from San Diego, providing easy access for restful weekends away from major cities. Set to be the flagship for the re-emergence of the Health Resort in North America, the Murrieta Hot Springs Resort will be a sought-after destination for travelers seeking a relaxing and rejuvenating wellness retreat.
