Rentals United announces partnership with Trip.com

The partnership will connect Rental United’s customers with travellers on the channels Trip.com, Ctrip, and Skyscanner through a jointly developed API-connection that supports bookings, prices, photos and descriptions.

BARCELONA – Rentals United, announced a partnership to directly integrate with the Trip.com group. With over 400 million registered users worldwide, Trip.com is a Chinese provider of travel services who owns Trip.com, Ctrip.com and Skyscanner – it’s the largest OTA in China and one of the largest travel service providers in the world. The site provides booking services for flights, hotels, trains, car rentals, airport transfers, tours and attraction tickets, and claims to offer more than 1.2 million hotels in 200 countries and regions, as well as over 2 million flight routes connecting more than 5,000 cities.

The partnership will connect Rental United’s customers with travellers on the channels Trip.com, Ctrip, and Skyscanner through a jointly developed API-connection that supports bookings, prices, photos and descriptions. The advanced technology allows Rentals United and Trip.com to automatically put live thousands of short-term rental properties simultaneously. Trip.com considers many factors when evaluating software provider partners, including how current their integration version is, the technical performance and reliability of their integration, and traveller demand.

Rentals United CEO James Burrows says, “Rentals United wholly believes in diversifying marketing distribution and we have been greatly anticipating our partnership with Trip.com, which will give our customers access to the highly-coveted Asian travellers that are increasingly becoming the largest traveller group globally.”
