Roiback reaches a partnership agreement with BlueBay Hotels to implement its booking engine and improve direct sales

Sergio Juan Lozano (BlueBay) and Rebeca Gonzalez (Roiback).

The new version of Roiback’s Backhotel 4.5 engine will allow the Palma-based hotel chain to achieve improvements in conversion ratios up to 21%.

Roiback, specialist and leader in the management of the direct channel of hotel sales, and BlueBay Hotels, the 8th Spanish hotel company by international presence and the 10th largest hotel group regarding hotel rooms[1], have taken another step in their commitment to innovation. Their agreement has been materialized in the implementation of the updated version of Roiback’s Backhotel 4.5 engine in the hotel chain’s website. This new version of the booking engine will allow improvements in conversion rates of 21%.

The collaboration between both companies goes back to more than a year ago, when BlueBay Hotels turned to Roiback with the aim of improving their sales through the direct channel. The recent implementation of the new version of the booking engine reinforces the alliance between both companies while consolidates its firm commitment to innovation.

The change of the booking engine of BlueBay Hotels website to Roiback’s new version offers a more optimized design, allowing to take advantage of the full width of the screen and to facilitate the visualization of all the components. This upgrading, as well as some improvements on the main configuration elements, the occupation selector or the cart summary allow to increase the user's usability and interaction.

Moreover, the latest version includes descriptive and intuitive icons with information on the available services for each type of room; positive cancellation policy messages to increase conversion; improvements in navigation with the option to add extras to the room without leaving the current navigation; and a purchase summary with an improvement of the previous step, which facilitates the review and decision making for the final user.

Sergio Juan Lozano, Marketing and Online Sales Director at BlueBay Hotels, commented: "With Roiback's solutions in our booking channel we have experienced a very important progress in achieving our direct sales goals. With the updated version of the engine we expect to have at least a conversion rate growth of 21%."

Rebeca Gonzalez, Managing Director at Roiback, highlighted the importance of the partnership with the Spanish hotel company: "BlueBay Hotels' commitment to continuous innovation is aligned with ours to offer cutting-edge and innovative solutions to manage a large amount of bookings. The close collaboration between both companies in recent months, recognized leaders in their field, is offering us a great benefit, especially for BlueBay customers, who will experience real improvements in their booking process."

A total of 27 BlueBay hotels are already using the new version of Roiback’s booking engine. They join a portfolio of 1,500 hotel chains and independent hotels in 40 countries who have been benefitting from the Majorcan company’s solutions.
