CANCUN – Opening February 28, 2022, Royal Uno All Inclusive Resort & Spa welcome Efraín Canto as the newly appointed General Manager at the latest luxury resort offering from Mexican tourism pioneers, Royal Resorts.
“We are happy that Efraín has joined the Royal Resorts family as he brings an exceptional understanding of the hospitality market having worked with global brands and resort destination settings,” says Javier Vales, chief operating officer of Royal Resorts. “His extensive industry experience makes him the seasoned leader the role needs, and we look forward to having him guide the property through its highly anticipated grand opening.”
Canto joins Royal Uno with more than 20 years of hospitality management experience having led and opened hotels and resorts in Brazil, Costa Rica, Honduras, the United States and Mexico. He’s held various leadership positions and most recently served as General Manager at The Westin Resort & Spa in Los Cabos, Mexico. Throughout his career, Efraín has been instrumental in overseeing hotel and resorts openings and developing effective sales and marketing campaigns as well as food and beverage concepts with brands including Marriott and Hilton.

Canto holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hotel Business Administration from the Technological Institute of Cancún, industry-relevant certifications from OSHA and SafeServ, a wedding planning certification, and is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
