A regional office will be opened by Select Hotels & Resorts International in Hong Kong next month and the company appointed a Business Development Manager, Asia, Mr Bernard Chan, to service Asia and China. Mr Chan will focus on sourcing new Select Memberships in the region and Select will also recruit a travel professional to support him with trade and Member servicing.

Mr Chan comes to Select from his previous role of over ten years as principal and Director of P& D Hospitality Consultants, a property consultancy firm that specialises in the hotel industry and advises a diverse range of international clients on acquisitions, development opportunities and management contract opportunities.

The appointment of Mr Chan and the establishment of a regional office in Hong Kong is another exciting new development for Select, says Richard Rosebery, Executive Chairman of Select. Bernard will bring a new dimension to our group and will add a wealth of experience in Asia that will benefit all our Members. We are thrilled to welcome Bernard to Select.

Ralph Kelly, Managing Director of Select states, We believe the Select Members will reap the rewards of the Bernard’s extensive Asian experience and network and the benefits of having an office in that region. We look forward to growing the Membership and expanding our services in Asia and Bernard’s valuable contribution to our team.

The Select office will open 1st August. Mr Chan will take up the appointment immediately.
