Sherry Abedi appointed General Manager of Hotel Zena and Viceroy Washington DC

Sherry Abedi joins executive team at two new D.C. hotels.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Viceroy Hotels and Resorts celebrate the highly anticipated appointment of Area General Manager, Sherry Abedi. Demonstrating extensive experience in luxury hotel operations, as Area General Manager Abedi will oversee all facets of Hotel Zena and Viceroy Washington DC – two of the city’s most sought after hotel destinations and cultural hubs. Abedi will lead both D.C. hotels, managing day-to-day operations across rooms and food and beverage, as well as the development of new and evolving programming and amenities.

Abedi brings more than a decade of hospitality experience to Hotel Zena and Viceroy Washington DC, having served in senior leadership positions at properties in and around the greater Washington DC metro area and throughout the country. Most recently, Abedi served as the General Manager for Thompson Washington D.C., where she oversaw the opening efforts of the new hotel and coordinated all initiatives to re-launch operations following its pandemic-related closure. Throughout her career, Abedi has worked in various leadership roles, as Area General Manager of Quirk in Richmond, Virginia and as Resort Manager of Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg, Virginia. In addition, her extensive career in openings and operations included roles with the Madison Hotel; Ping Pong Restaurant in Washington, D.C.; Hotel Casa Del Mar in Santa Monica, California; and Viceroy Palm Springs in Palm Springs, California.
