Shopping translates in every language with Marriott Rewards new redemption options

Marriott Rewards offers over 50 unique online "Exclusively Yours" catalogs in 21 languages, including French, Portuguese, Chinese and Arabic.

BETHESDA, MD. – Marriott Rewards is taking merchandise options global with its new catalogs through Maritz Motivation Solutions. Now members in around the globe have more choices as to how they use their points. Marriott Rewards offers over 50 unique online “Exclusively Yours” catalogs in 21 languages, including French, Portuguese, Chinese and Arabic. Each catalog is customized with regionally relevant products.

“Marriott Rewards is the only hotel loyalty program in the world to present such extensive offerings that can be purchased with a combination of Marriott Rewards points and cash in 22 global currencies,” said Ed French, senior vice president, Marriott Rewards.

In addition, Maritz Motivations and Marriott Rewards offers a new U.S. merchandise catalog, called Populr, which features a broad array of merchandise from a wide variety of brands, including:  Apple, Michael Kors, Callaway, Sony, Canon, Fisher-Price, Vera Bradley and more.

The new Populr catalog also has mass appeal to its members by showcasing several sections, such as Trendig, which targets early adopters and trendsetters with unique and often hard-to-find merchandise.

Andrew Goods, strategic account executive for Maritz Motivation, said, “We understand everyone may not want to redeem their points for a blender or a golf club. Populr and Exclusively Yours, allow Marriott Rewards members to easily find items that appeal to them. Populr’s Trendig section is about the latest, hottest and coolest must haves.”

Marriott Rewards adds Populr and Exclusively Yours to its merchandise choices for U.S. and international members, who can redeem points for virtually anything they could want or combine Marriott Rewards points and cash. These include brand merchandise, digital downloads and special event tickets.

Marriott Rewards is free to join and has no blackout dates and members can earn and redeem points at more than 3,600 Marriott International hotels around the world and at Marriott Rewards’ luxury partner, The Ritz-Carlton. Members can also redeem points for frequent flyer miles, cruises, car rentals, merchandise and more.

Marriott Rewards has won the Freddie Award for “Best Hotel Rewards Program in the Americas” five years in a row and the 2011 and 2010 Frequent Travel Award for “Best Hotel Rewards Program.” It has been named best hotel rewards program by the readers of About.com, Business Traveler, Global Traveler, Executive Travel and BusinessWeek magazines.
