SIHOT lands in the Canary Islands to support digital hotel strategies

Leading hotel management system strengthens presence on the islands with a team to support hoteliers in the region.

GERMANY – Leading hotel management system, SIHOT, has deployed a team in the Canary Islands to build closer partnerships with local hoteliers as it further expands its footprint across Europe digitalising hotel tech stacks.

The German-based property management software has had an office on the Spanish mainland for over 20 years, the proximity to its Spanish customers has enabled technological advancements to capture tourism potential. With a portfolio of urban city, regional groups, hotel resorts and MICE properties, SIHOT recognises the importance of providing regional assistance for the commercial and technological success of its customers and partners.

A consolidated team

Based on the island of Tenerife, the SIHOT team made up of Fabián Reyes and Fernando Torres will support island hoteliers to develop strategies and meet the challenge of digitising their establishments in order to capitalise on the sector which closed the year with a turnover of 19,000 million euros.

Clients such as Luxury Tenerife, Parque Santiago and Laguna Nivaria, which have already benefited from the experience and support of the PMS, will now have a team on site whenever they need it. Wilnelia Martín, Director of Hotel ValleMar, said: “We have always had the support of SIHOT, but having a team on the islands gives us extra support”.

“Between them, Fabian and Fernando have more than 50 years of experience in both IT and the hospitality sector, which will allow them to offer the best advice and personalised attention to each client, making processes simple, comfortable and, above all, efficient for better service,” said Christoph Haack, Director of Operations, SIHOT.
