Silvia Rajniak appointed General Manager at Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay, Egypt

Silvia Rajniak started her Kempinski journey at Kempinski Hotel River Park, Bratislava, in Slovakia, where she passed through various positions, such as Personal Assistant to the General Manager, Front Office Manager and People Training Manager.

GENEVA – Joining the luxury holiday resort on the shores of the Red Sea in Egypt, Silvia Rajniak has been appointed as the new general manager of Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay. The Slovakian native started with Kempinski Hotels in 2009 and since then has continuously grown in her hospitality industry career, recently in Ghana, where she worked as Hotel Manager at Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra since spring 2021. She is the first female general manager in an Egyptian Kempinski hotel ever.

Silvia Rajniak started her Kempinski journey at Kempinski Hotel River Park, Bratislava, in Slovakia, where she passed through various positions, such as Personal Assistant to the General Manager, Front Office Manager and People Training Manager. In 2015 she moved to Germany and became Front Office Manager at Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden, followed by the position of Director of Rooms. She then worked as Executive Assistant Manager at Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest, Hungary, before being appointed Hotel Manager in Accra.

“I am very excited about my first general manager role, which at the same time is my first role in a holiday resort on the sea,” says Silvia Rajniak, who started at Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay at the beginning of September. “The beautiful peninsula, blended with the rich culture, amazing underwater world and great hospitality, makes Soma Bay a one-of-a-kind destination. I am honoured to manage the leading luxury hotel in this small paradise of Egypt. Working in a place where other people come to spend their vacation offers a very unique vibe all around the resort.”

Before starting in the international hotel industry, Silvia was employed by the German Embassy in Bratislava as a translator and interpreter. She holds a Master Diploma in German Studies and Education from Comenius University Bratislava and is currently working on her Master of International Business, Hotel, Resort & Wellness Management with the Swiss Hotel Management School.
