Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas announces latest appointments

Yee Pin Tan joins Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas as head of design.

Bryan Gabriel appointed as Chief Commercial Officer, Mark Sands promoted as Vice President of Wellness and Yee Pin Tan Appointed Head of Design.

BANGKOK – Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas is pleased to announce the latest appointments in the group’s leadership team.

Bryan Gabriel Appointed as Chief Commercial Officer
Bryan Gabriel has joined Six Senses as chief commercial officer. In this role, he will oversee the group’s sales and marketing department, implementing the most effective ways and systems to support the brand’s expansion. Bryan’s most recent role was based in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was head of commercial for America, for InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) from 2016.

Having worked with IHG for 15 years, Bryan began his IHG journey as the director of sales and marketing at InterContinental Jakarta, then moved to Singapore and Bali to take on area director roles. In 2011, he oversaw the opening of Hotel Indigo Hong Kong Island as the general manager, before moving to Shanghai to support the brand management team for IHG Greater China. In 2014, Bryan relocated to Delhi to take up the position of director of commercial for IHG South West Asia.

Mark Sands Promoted as Vice President of Wellness
Mark Sands has been promoted to vice president of wellness at Six Senses. Joining the group in 2011 as Area Spa Director, Mark played a significant role in creating and launching many of the brand’s wellness initiatives, while successfully leading spa operations. He’s been working closely with the technical services team on many aspects of spa development and most recently supported the launch of Mission Wellness, the group-wide host well-being initiative.

Yee Pin Tan Appointed Head of Design
Yee Pin Tan has joined Six Senses as head of design. In this capacity, Pin will support and lead all creative teams responsible for project design, branding, marketing, sustainability, spa and wellness and information technology. Pin’s role covers all design-related areas that support the global expansion of Six Senses. She will also ensure overall consistency in implementing the brand’s vision and alignment to corporate goals, quality of messaging and design concepts.

Bringing more than 26 years of experience in hospitality design, Pin has worked alongside industry greats such as Ed Tuttle in Paris, where her talents were honed designing the iconic Aman resorts worldwide. Pin has spent the last three years based in Singapore as the design director of Jaya. During this tenure, she expanded her work and experience across different luxury hotel brands, including Capella Shanghai Jian Ye Li and the extensively-redesigned Raffles Maldives in Meradhoo.
