After many years of exploration, SLH has found hidden gems in the Bahamas and Hawaii, which were previously among the most unfulfilled search requests on slh.com.

Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) has extended its global reach to include Kazakhstan, Lebanon, The Grenadines, Antigua, the Spanish resort of Marbella, and the US state of Texas. What’s more, after many years of exploration, SLH has found hidden gems in the Bahamas and Hawaii, which were previously among the most unfulfilled search requests on slh.com.

The SLH team has also identified the very best in boutique hotel openings in 2013, with brand new properties joining the portfolio over the past few months. Here’s a selection of some of the exciting new additions to SLH around the globe.

New SLH Hotels in New SLH Destinations
O Monot, Beirut, Lebanon: O Monot is a beautifully restored building in the heart of Beirut’s cultural Saifi area and will be SLH’s first hotel in Lebanon. The renovation has created 41 superbly styled rooms and suites, classically decorated with subdued colour tones, white furniture and mood-enhanced lighting, plus a gourmet restaurant, rooftop pool and terrace bar, which all offer stunning panoramic city views.

Hotel Ella, Austin, Texas: With a history that can be traced back to 1846, Hotel Ella is a multi-million dollar renovation of one of Austin’s original landmark mansion houses. The new boutique hotel now has a stunning interior courtyard with a pool and private cabanas, as well as wonderful gardens around the estate. The new restaurant and lounge serves contemporary American cuisine with an Austin twist.

New SLH Destinations

It’s a luxury eco-resort with a private pristine white sand beach, lush green palm groves and clear turquoise waters. The tropical surroundings offer guests opportunities to sail, fish, snorkel, scuba dive or simply relax on one of the Caribbean’s best beaches, while the dining serves carefully crafted Caribbean and fusion cuisine, made using the freshest local and organic ingredients.

Hotel Wailea Maui, Hawaii, USA: This private sanctuary nestled in 15 acres of lush hillside overlooks fabulous views of the Pacific Ocean, white sand beaches and the dramatic West Maui mountains.  The hotel is a tropical oasis where Zen-inspired grounds provide an intimate and peaceful haven, while it is also conveniently located to enjoy a variety of Wailea activities, including some of the world’s best golf courses, renowned beaches, fine restaurants and the island’s best shopping.
