LOS CABOS, MEXICO – Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas Resort recently made its highly anticipated debut as the newest luxury resort within Solmar Hotels & Resorts’ esteemed collection of all-suite properties. Situated on the most southern tip of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas Resort reveals the first phase of the 834-acre private resort community blending a world-class resort experience with residential lifestyle amenities.

“At Solmar Hotels & Resorts, we continuously strive to elevate the experience for our guests and residents. Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas Resort certainly does that and more, presenting an all-encompassing experience of resort, residential and golf in the most envied location of all Baja California Sur” said Ricardo Orozco, Solmar Hotel & Resorts vice president of operations.

Impeccably designed by renowned Dallas-based architecture firm HKS, Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas brings the Coastal Baja Mexico feel to the vast beauty that only Los Cabos can offer. Mirroring the area’s desert landscape, the overall design melds natural earth tones with traditional touches such as barrel tile roofs, archways and ironwork. Lush greenery and numerous water features, such as a lazy river and salt water lagoon, accentuate outdoor areas. The overall feel is formal and sophisticated, with a breezy ambiance throughout.

“Great design is as much about personal relationships as it is about creating unique and unforgettable experiences that reflect the authenticity of the destination," said Sergio Saenz, HKS Hospitality Studio Director. “Ensuring that the architectural design paid respect to the surroundings – from the wind-swept dunes, Pacific shoreline and 100-year-old arroyos – was key in creating this world class destination focused around the discerning expectations of the Solmar Hotels & Resorts guest.”

Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas’ first phase unveils 89 well-appointed, ocean-front suites spread among two buildings. Guests have three options for accommodations – all with views of the Pacific Ocean – including the Grand Studio, One-Bedroom Master Suite and Two-Bedroom Presidential Suite. Inside, the design is reflective of the desert-by-the-sea vibe of Los Cabos. Premium warm furnishings and sleek design set the tone for an upscale, yet relaxed vacation experience. Guests will find wooden cabinetry and light furnishings that are accented by vibrant Mexican colors and marine elements such as corals and shells.

Beyond the luxurious guestrooms are numerous amenities for families, couples and friends to enjoy. Among these include a private beach sanctuary with lounges and cozy cabanas; two adult-only infinity pools and one kids pool with a mini waterpark; first-class fitness center with Life Fitness equipment; a full-service beauty salon; laundry mat; health clinic; concierge services and more. Guests will also appreciate the many outdoor spaces such as courtyards, gardens, and a wedding pavilion fronting an event lawn that overlooks the ocean. The Holistic Los Cabos Spa, a beachside, multi-level respite offers complete relaxation and renewal, with a menu of healing massages and body therapies done with organic local ingredients and essential oils.

Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas also offers a variety of dining options that cater to every taste. La Roca is the resort’s signature restaurant that features an international menu highlighted by freshly-caught seafood, homemade breads, and authentic Mexican flavors. The Las Olas Poolside Bar & Grill is a more casual, outdoor option with numerous culinary selections and hand-crafted tropical cocktails. Guests can also visit the Deli Café to revive with Oaxaca coffee, freshly made salads, wraps and sandwiches. Brisas Grill Bar is another alfresco option where guests can indulge in sushi creations, salads, wraps, and low-fat smoothies made with exotic fruit and vegetables. Finally, the poolside Tide Bar offers a broad range of cocktails, bar fare and treats.

While guests will find much to do roaming around the resort, Los Cabos presents numerous attractions nearby. Among the allure of the area is a spectacular nightlife, gourmet dining scene, sightseeing, outdoor adventures and more. Adventure seekers can partake in fun activities such as sport fishing, surfing, sailing and off-roading on ATVs. Other must-visits include seeing the famous Arch of Cabo San Lucas by boat and scuba diving in the National Marine Park Cabo Pulmo, home to stunning coral reefs and sea life. The destination has something for everyone.

As part of the 834-acre Rancho San Lucas experience, guests will soon be able to enjoy an 18-hole Greg Norman golf course, slated for completion during winter of 2018-2019, and a Mexican Village shopping and entertainment center. Upon completion, Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas Resort will have 594 suites of which, 105 will be part of the Grand Solmar The Residences at Rancho San Lucas. The resort is located just 30 minutes away from the San Jose Del Cabo (SJD) Airport.
