Synergy Global Housing exoands EMEA presence with new London location

Fourth UK&I property to open with European growth planned.

Synergy Global Housing (Synergy), one of the world’s leading corporate accommodation providers, has announced the growth of its UK footprint with the opening of a new property in The City of London.

Located on Lovat Lane, close to London Bridge, Monument and Bank in the heart of London’s financial district, the new 41-unit property will open to Synergy guests this month. The accommodation comprises of a mix of studios, one and two-bedroom apartments, which are available for short term lets and have been recently refurbished.

The spacious apartments are an ideal ‘working from home’ environment for business travellers looking for a convenient, high quality, central London location. The apartments all offer spacious accommodation in a convenient and well-established location.  Furnished and equipped to offer a real sense of home including essential high speed wi-fi and smart network connected TVs.  Some even have balconies or patios. All supporting services are fully Covid compliant from the delivery of a substantial welcome pack through to servicing and maintenance support.

The new location has been evolved with Synergy through an innovative partnership with City Apartments Ltd, who are experienced owners and operators of high quality, fully serviced accommodation across the City of London. Their 10-year agreement enables the partners to share the building and operating costs equally.

The opening of the Lovat Lane property adds to Synergy’s rapidly growing portfolio of properties in the UK and Ireland. These already include serviced apartments in London’s Camden district, and two locations in Dublin.

Stephen Hanton, President, International of Synergy Global Housing, says: “Over the last six months, we have leveraged our robust commercial position to develop innovative partnerships with property owners and accommodation providers. This has allowed us to expand our UK and Ireland footprint and is a new model for industry cooperation.”

“In the next five years, we plan to continue this rapid pace of development through further creative partnerships with like-minded accommodation providers which will enable us to open further optimal locations in other key European gateway cities.”

In August 2020, Synergy engaged in a three-year partnership with STAY Camden involving 20 units of serviced accommodation in Camden Town. Synergy’s location at The Marker Residence in Dublin, which opened the following month, is a two-year partnership for 11 units, a number of which are planned to be converted from two to one-bedroom apartments, with the second bedroom to be available for ‘work from home’ use.

Claire Barrie, Synergy Global Housing’s Vice President of Sales, EMEA, says: “The benefits of our apartments were recognised for the safe, autonomous havens they provided for those who continued to need to travel.  As 2021 progresses, we will continue to work with travel buyers to restore confidence in getting more of their people travelling and moving – focusing on the many wellbeing aspects that serviced apartment living supports.”

The launch of its Lovat Lane location is the latest in a series of major developments at Synergy, following a year in which it built an experienced EMEA-based team to drive growth in this strategically important region.

During 2020, it launched SynergyCares, a global safety and health initiative incorporating a 9-step guest pledge developed in light of Covid-19, and SynergySMART, which tracks and measures its comprehensive global supplier partner health and safety protocols.
