The Cordish Companies expands reach of Live! brand into boutique hotels with launch of Live! Lofts

Second major hotel announcement within one week rounds out Cordish portfolio to include both luxury and boutique hotel accommodations. Expansion planned across U.S. and internationally.

HANOVER, MD. – The Cordish Companies expanded the reach of its Live! brand, one of the most prominent and successful names in entertainment in the United States, with the launch of LIVE! LOFTS – the newest name in boutique hotels. The flagship Live! Lofts will be born from a newly-acquired hotel property – which just closed purchase – located near The Cordish Companies' Live! Casino in Hanover, Maryland.

This is the second major hotel announcement within a week from Cordish, one of the leading development companies in the country, which just celebrated the groundbreaking of its flagship Live! Hotel, a 17-story luxury hotel, event center and spa, to be located directly adjacent to Live! Casino.

The Cordish Companies has a long history in development of iconic hospitality destinations, such as Charleston Place Hotel in South Carolina, and the Seminole Hard Rock Casino Hotels in Tampa and Hollywood, Florida.

Live! Hotel and Live! Lofts are the first two hotels to carry the Live! moniker and round out The Cordish Companies' portfolio to include both luxury and boutique hotel accommodations. Expansion of both brands is planned across the United States and internationally.

"The establishment of the Live! brand in the hotel industry further solidifies its place as the nation's leading name in entertainment by giving our guests the complete entertainment and hospitality experience," said Blake Cordish, Vice President of The Cordish Companies and head of the Real Estate Division. "The combination of our luxury Live! Hotel collection and Live! Lofts boutique hotels gives us an even greater opportunity to provide our customers with the first-class accommodations, amenities and best-in-class customer service experience that have become the hallmark of the Live! brand nationwide."

The new $200 million flagship Live! Hotel, located at Live! Casino, will be a 350,000- square- foot property featuring a 17-story hotel tower, 310 luxury guest rooms, an event center and concert venue, meeting spaces, new dining options, and a day spa/salon. The hotel is expected to open in early 2018.

The flagship Live! Lofts is located at 7491 New Ridge Road, in Hanover, MD. The property will undergo an extensive $3 million renovation project and be transformed into a boutique hotel of eclectic elegance, featuring the first-class accommodations, amenities, service levels and decor synonymous with the Live! brand nationwide. The 11-story hotel complex currently features 250 rooms, including over 100 suites; a heated indoor pool and jet spa; dining in The Loft Grill; cocktails in The Lounge; and a variety of 24-hour amenities, including shuttle transportation to/from Live! Casino and the BWI Airport. Approximately 3,400-square-feet of meeting and banquet space is also available for custom meetings and events; as well as free parking. Rooms will remain available to guests as renovations begin in public spaces beginning in late 2016/early 2017, with final improvements to the hotel expected to be complete by mid-2017.

Together, the flagship Live! Hotel and Live! Lofts will link a total of 560 guestrooms and suites, and approximately 50,000- square- feet of event space to Live! Casino, the region's largest and highest grossing casino.
