The Duquesa de Cardona remodels its rooms in celebration of the hotel's tenth anniversary

The hotel has been exquisitely decorated and the rooms remodelled in celebration of the hotel’s tenth anniversary in order to provide guests the most comfortable and relaxing stay possible.

Boutique hotel in Barcelona with an unbeatable seafront location just steps from Las Ramblas, the Gothic Quarter and El Born neighbourhood, the Duquesa de Cardona is an exclusive 40-room hotel that will make you feel right at home.

The building, a former sixteenth-century mansion that belonged to the Cardona family and was used as a home for nobility and refuge for kings, is the ideal choice for guests seeking a unique, cozy, elegant and charming space.

Casilda-Ghislaine Guerrero Fernández de Córdoba, the twenty-first Duchess of Cardona, granted permission to use her title (Duquesa de Cardona in Spanish) as the name of the hotel in 2003.

The building’s architecture and carefully-selected interior décor combine with the hotel’s outstanding first-class service to create an unparalleled atmosphere of distinction, comfort, warmth and intimacy, where guests feel as if they have found a home away from home in Barcelona. The Duquesa offers free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel to make guests feel even more at home.

The hotel has been exquisitely decorated and the rooms remodelled in celebration of the hotel’s tenth anniversary in order to provide guests the most comfortable and relaxing stay possible. Twenty-one Classic Rooms, ideal for couples, provide views of either the historic Calle de la Mercè or the hotel’s romantic inner courtyard. Our fourteen spacious Deluxe Rooms come with a balcony overlooking Paseo Colón, with those on the upper floor boasting unbeatable sea views, while our five 50 m² Junior Suites are a home away from home in the heart of Barcelona.

The Duquesa offers guests a sophisticated fragrance menu featuring floral, sandalwood and musk scents. And an extensive pillow menu is also available to guarantee a perfect night’s sleep, complete with options like our Casilda, the Duquesa’s preferred feather pillow, the ergonomic latex Gaudí pillow and the hypoallergenic Picasso.

Complimentary tea and coffee, individual climate control and flat-screen LCD TV round out the first-class amenities guaranteed to make any stay at the Duquesa an unforgettable experience.

Facing the sea and completely open-air, the sophisticated rooftop “La Terrassa del Duquesa”, open from noon to midnight, is the ideal place to unwind with stunning city views paired with innovative cuisine and the venue’s famous cocktails.

The hotel serves its exclusive breakfasts -an extensive and varied buffet featuring products based on the Mediterranean diet, made-to-order eggs and items for guests with food intolerances- at its La Duquesa restaurant, housed in the mansion’s former stables.
