The Gettys Group ends 2017 on a strong note, eyes positive outlook for 2018, its 30th year

With more than 220 projects completed by the interior design group alone, the firm reports solid revenue growth since 2016 and received an increased ranking on Interior Design’s Hospitality Giants list, underlining this progress.

CHICAGO – The Gettys Group experienced steady growth in 2017 spurred by a robust lineup of key projects that broadened utilization of the firm’s unique combination of services: interior design, development, branding and procurement.

The past year featured a host of initiatives that provided The Gettys Group with opportunities to expand and capitalize on the scope of its diverse offerings. These included the launch of a renewed brand platform for its sister brand, Gettys ONE; the relocation of its Asia Pacific office to Manila; marquee projects that garnered industry awards and recognition from numerous publications; and greater focus on development and investments with select hospitality partners.

With more than 220 projects completed by the interior design group alone, the firm reports solid revenue growth since 2016 and received an increased ranking on Interior Design’s Hospitality Giants list, underlining this progress.

Our accomplishments in 2017 demonstrate the strength, creativity, knowledge and talent across all of our groups. I’m delighted with the outcome, and look forward to continued success in 2018,” said Andrew Fay, President, The Gettys Group.

Gettys ONE, which specializes in select-service interior design, continues to address the hospitality industry’s growing demand for select-service hotels, as 80 percent of current new construction projects in the U.S. have been identified as select-service projects*. In 2017, Gettys ONE celebrated its first five years and the completion of more than 300 projects, further cementing its brand position as an industry leader.

Given the increasing number of hospitality projects throughout Asia, including high-profile hotels, large-scale casinos and far-reaching residential developments, The Gettys Group relocated its Asian headquarters. Now located in Ortigas Center, one of Manila’s important business districts, the office triples the firm’s capacity in the area. By expanding and enhancing its Asian presence, The Gettys Group strategically positions itself in a unique market to identify and execute exciting projects that elevate the firm’s global influence.

Throughout 2017, some of The Gettys Group’s marquee projects included:

  • Hotel LeVeque, Autograph Collection – Columbus, Ohio
  • This interior design and branding project was a BLLA 2017 award winner, and was honored as Architectural Digest’s ‘Most Beautiful Hotel’ in Ohio.
  • Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace – Lake Buena Vista, Florida
  • Leveraging the collaboration between the firm’s development, branding and interior design groups, The Gettys Group transformed this luxurious, but family-friendly resort.
  • Manila Marriott Hotel – Manila, Philippines

With the company’s focus on the Asian hospitality industry, this landmark property was a key project in 2017. The hotel boasts the country’s largest ballroom at 8,000 square meters, with 28 versatile meeting spaces and six VIP skyboxes.

Over the next year, our goal is to continue to provide more diversified services through our interior design, branding, development and procurement practices while also expanding more deeply into the cruise and casino industries,” said Roger Hill, CEO, The Gettys Group. “With these efforts, we look forward to continued growth as we mark our 30th year of evolution.”
