The Government of Croatia aims to privatise state-owned hotels

The Government of Croatia (GoC) is pursuing a policy of privatizing state-owned companies in a wide variety of industries, including the hotel industry. Accordingly, the GoC, represented by the Croatian Privatization Fund (CPF), as owner, has indicated its willingness to sell a majority stake in several hotel companies from the state tourism portfolio. The hotel companies will be offered for sale, in February 2003, to potential strategic investors, domestic or foreign, through a competitive tender process that will be organized and run by the CPF. The hotel companies are:



Hotel Neptun, Dubrovnik



A three pavilion 200 room hotel located at the entrance of the bay. Adjacent to the water the hotel complex includes restaurants, bars, entertainment and conference facilities. Two pavilions recently renovated.



Hotel Kompas, Dubrovnik



With an established year round market, this 3 Star facility has been upgraded. There are 114 bedrooms and indoor and outdoor pools.



Grand Hotel Park, Dubrovnik



Newly renovated, with a large, fully equipped conference room. 232 rooms are all air-conditioned and equipped with SAT TV and mini bars.



Hotel Lero, Dubrovnik



This city hotel with 146 rooms was fully renovated in 1998. All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, SAT TV and mini bars.



Hotel Sumratin, Dubrovnik



Small, family size hotel giving a sense of intimacy and opportunity for individualist development. Located in a pedestrian zone in the beautiful part of Lapad Bay; only 50 m from the beach.



Hoteli Koloeep, Koloeep



Situated on a beautiful small car free island Koloeep, linked by a ferry to Dubrovnik. Consists of 151 rooms in eight villas renovated in 1997; very peaceful and quiet location.



Hoteli Mlini, Mlini



Situated between Cavtat and Dubrovnik. The 3-Star hotel complex consists of two hotels (Astarea and Mlini), and separate pavilions. The whole village is ideal for quiet and peaceful holiday in addition to the attractions of Dubrovnik.



Kastelanska Rivijera, Kastel Stari



Located in Kastela village, between the Split Airport and the town of Split. Kastelanska Rivijera consists of hotel complex Resnik (Hotel, annexes and bungalows; 201 Rooms, 200 Bungalows) and Hotel Palace (three hotels; 221 Rooms). Both hotel complexes are located on the beach. Part of the Hotel Palace and two annexes have been recently renovated.
