The Mere Golf Resort and Spa has been awarded a ‘5 Bubbles’ rating for its state-of-the art Spa by The Good Spa Guide, the independent national gauge by which spas up and down the country are reviewed and rated.
The review took place last month at the resort using the Good Spa Guide’s rigorous set of guidelines which assesses its promises and guest expectations. In order to rate every spa in the country in a consistent way each independent reviewer judges an establishment against a list of strict criteria, which includes customer care, cleanliness, quality of treatments, and value for money. The ‘5 Bubbles’ rating is the highest score possible.
"Our state-of-the-art spa has been up and running for just over a year now and to have this independent recognition from The Good Spa Guide is really rewarding for the whole team who deliver a five star service, seven days a week," comments Tom Davies, spa manager at The Mere Golf Resort and Spa. "You don’t have to be a member to enjoy the spa facilities, and now that the new luxury hotel is open many more people are taking some time out to come and relax, recuperate and recharge their batteries with a treatment or a massage."
Set in its own dedicated building and occupying the old stable block and courtyard, The Mere’s Spa & Health Club offers innovative mind and body programmes, cutting-edge equipment, expert personal trainers, and group exercise programmes. The spa boasts a 20m indoor swimming pool located next to a selection of rest and recuperation facilities including a relaxation terrace. Adjacent to the pool is the ‘thermal zone’ which contains a Hamam room, sauna, salt room, steam room and a caldarium (a typical Roman hot room to help members relax after a workout or spa treatment). There are seven bespoke treatment rooms serviced by eight fully trained, professional therapists.
