As of November 6, 2022 the Rohrkopfhütte on the Tegelberg mountain will reopen
Located between the Allgäu and Ammer mountains, it has been a popular destination for excursions and hikes since the very beginning. But now, the Rohrkopfhütte 1320m above sea level is given a new lease of life. As long-term tenants, the Thurm family (owners of the Hotel Das Rübezahl in Schwangau) has now extensively renovated and modernized the parlor, terrace, and kitchen.
The furniture is partially recycled from old material. The bathroom access was also redesigned during the renovation. You will find traditional dishes interpreted in a modern way on the menu, such as the bread dumpling carpaccio or pretzel tarte flambée. Exceptional highlights are the fondue and hut evenings or the mountain breakfast, as is customary at Hotel Das Rübezahl a blend of modern and traditional. The hut is open all year and can be used for parties and events. Beyond the culinary delight, guests can experience the stunning views of the mountain panorama.
