The Viceroy Hotel Group welcomes Miju Kim as Area Director of Group Sales

Bringing over 10 years of hospitality experience, Kim began her career in 2012 as a guest service agent at the Sheraton Waikiki.

SAN FRANCISCO – The Viceroy Hotel Group, known for its unique properties fusing together provocative design, modern luxury and intuitive service, announce Miju Kim as the new area director of group sales for Hotel Zelos, Hotel Zetta and Hotel Zeppelin, part of Viceroy Hotels & Resorts’ Urban Retreats collection. With over 10 years of luxury hospitality experience, Kim has been recognized for creating market-leading customer relationships and maximizing revenue through creative and strategic tactics.

Kim comes to Viceroy Hotel Group in San Francisco from Honolulu, HI. In her new role, she manages and oversees the group sales operations for Hotel Zetta, Hotel Zeppelin and Hotel Zelos. She develops and cultivates relationships with clients and strategizes business plans to maximize profits. Additionally, will be responsible for managing the group sales team to exceed the annual sales goal.

Bringing over 10 years of hospitality experience, Kim began her career in 2012 as a guest service agent at the Sheraton Waikiki. She then started her career in catering sales at Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa, later transitioning into meetings and events with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Waikiki Complex and then became Area Account Director of Group Sales in 2018 with Highgate Hawaii.

A hard worker and outstanding sales professional, Kim has received many honors and professional accolades. She was recognized in the Pacific Business News 40 under 40 in Honolulu in 2020. She was selected for Starwood Hawaii 2016 100% club while she was the meeting and event manager for Waikiki Complex. She is a former Board member of Hospitality’s Young Professions and Entrepreneurs, a committee of Hawaii Lodging & Tourism Association. She has served as a guest speaker for the American Hotel & Lodging Association, the School of Travel Industry Management at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, the School of Hotel Management at Sejong University and the Hawaii Tourism Authority.

Kim received a Bachelor of Arts in English language and literature from Sejong University in Seoul, Korea, and a Master of Science in travel industry management from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in Honolulu, HI. She also received a certification in conference management and event planning program from the University of Nevada in Las Vegas.
