Thon Hotels selects Leonardo Technology for digital asset management and connectivity to travel website network

By subscribing to Leonardo’s VScape Digital Asset Management System, Thon can easily manage its growing visual content library and syndicate images to the VNetwork.

TORONTO, CANADA and NORWAY – Leonardo Worldwide Corporation announced that Thon Hotels, one of Norway’s top hotel chains and part of the Olav Thon Group, has adopted its enterprise digital asset management technology to simplify the management and distribution of visual content for more than 70 hotels across Norway, Sweden, Brussels and Rotterdam.

With an expanding portfolio of one-of-a kind hotels, Thon needed an easy and efficient way to organize and manage large quantities of high-resolution hotel images and make them accessible to online travel shoppers. By subscribing to Leonardo’s VScape Digital Asset Management System, Thon can easily manage its growing visual content library and syndicate images to the VNetwork, the most extensive visual media syndication network in the global travel industry including all four GDSs, major OTAs and travel research sites.

We see Leonardo as a valuable tool to automate the distribution of our hotel images to OTA, GDS and meta-search channels as well as corporate travel agencies. Being able to deliver our hotel images easily (without investing a lot of time or resources) and accurately to corporate and leisure travel websites impacts our ability to stay competitive as a convenient, high quality hotel brand,” says Thomas Lyseggen, Web Coordinator, Thon Hotels.

“We’re pleased to be providing Thon Hotels with a complete solution that helps them reduce the costs of managing their growing hotel image library and gives them the opportunity to increase revenue by displaying more and higher resolution images on the websites and booking channels that travelers use throughout the travel shopping journey. We believe Thon will benefit greatly from the adoption of our digital asset management and distribution technology,” says John McAuliffe, Leonardo’s President.
