TownePlace Suites now open in Brentwood, MO

St. Louis-Based Equis Hotels adds mew Extended-Stay Hotel to St. Louis County.

ST. LOUIS — TownePlace Suites by Marriott, the St. Louis area’s newest extended-stay hotel, is now open in suburban Brentwood, MO.

The 128-room property is the first extended-stay hotel in the mid-St. Louis County area to be built in over a decade. The hotel has been developed and is operated by Equis Hotels, LLC in partnership with Rockbridge Capital.

TownePlace’s rooms are all designed as mini-suites with full kitchens and three separate areas for sleeping, dining and working or relaxing. Located along Interstate 64 at Hanley Road, the seven-story hotel is in the center of the St. Louis region near attractions, transportation, shopping, dining and centers of business and government. The hotel offers easy access to St. Louis Lambert International Airport via I-170.

We broke ground for this hotel a month before the beginning of the pandemic and have finished it as the situation is hopefully coming to an end, and we are already finding strong demand from returning travelers,” said Mike Mullenix, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Equis Hotels. “Creating a great guest experience is our first priority with each hotel we develop and our new TownePlace hotel here in Brentwood does that by giving younger travelers the kind of modern, comfortable and home-like atmosphere they want. It’s also important to us that we have been able to add life to an underutilized part of the St. Louis community with this new hotel project.“

Formerly the site of a warehouse, which was removed for the hotel’s construction, the TownePlace Suites has revitalized an undeveloped portion of Brentwood.

We are happy to welcome TownePlace Suites to the Brentwood community,” said City of Brentwood Mayor David Dimmitt. “This new hotel is an excellent use for the site, meets a need in the mid-county area, and offers an appealing option for business travelers and visitors.”

Designed to appeal to today’s travelers, the pet-friendly TownePlace Suites Brentwood welcomes guests with rooms equipped with a full kitchen, seating area, HomeOffice desk and an Elfa closet system from The Container Store. Suites come in three configurations: king with a sofa bed, two queen beds, or one queen with a sofa bed.

Additional guest amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, an indoor pool, an outdoor fire pit and barbecue/picnic area, an extended exercise room, on-site laundry, free parking and electric car charging stations.

Free hot breakfast is prepared for guests each morning and Weber grills are available on the outdoor patio for travelers who enjoy barbecuing while away from home. The hotel’s In a Pinch Market offers food items, and the Something Borrowed area lends guests a range of home items from blenders to board games for their use. The hotel has one 380-square-foot meeting room.

The hotel’s Brentwood, MO location is adjacent to the vibrant Clayton business, government and dining neighborhoods and near the Saint Louis Galleria mall. MetroLink light rail trains nearby whisk guests to the airport or popular St. Louis attractions including Forest Park, where the St. Louis Zoo, Saint Louis Art Museum and other attractions are located; the Gateway Arch; the St. Louis Aquarium; and sports facilities including Busch Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals, and Enterprise Center where the NHL’s St. Louis Blues play. The hotel is a quick drive from local universities and the Washington University Medical Center.
