Travelodge Hotels pushes forward on technology strategy

The first launch is a mobile booking application available for Android and iOS, so guests can easily locate and book rooms directly with Travelodge whilst on the move.

THAME, ENGLAND and OKLAHOMA CITY – Travelodge, the UK’s largest independent hotel chain, which operates over 500 hotels has partnered with hospitality technology firm, Monscierge based in Oklahoma City, OK, to develop a series of technology platforms to help the customer journey, from planning right through to checking-out and sharing their hotel experience socially.

The first launch is a mobile booking application available for Android and iOS, so guests can easily locate and book rooms directly with Travelodge whilst on the move.

Brand-wide implementations of technology pieces are frequently difficult to put into place, leading Travelodge to partner with the U.S. based Monscierge due to their reputation for designing products that are easy to scale at a global level.

“We selected to work with Monscierge ahead of stiff competition due to their vast experience of building bespoke technology platforms within the hospitality industry. They have worked hard to understand our business and have delivered our mobile app very quickly” said Matthew Young, IT Director at Travelodge.

“The Monscierge team is delighted to be working with Travelodge hotels, as we work towards delivering the digital experience of the future. The Travelodge team is truly passionate about enhancing the guest experience” said Christy Doherty, Monscierge Guest Experience Expert.
