UAE's largest Spa opens to cater to Middle East clientele

The spa has unique features covering an area of 2000 sq. meters and includes the region's first Polynesian massages.

ABU DHABI., UAE – His Highness Sheikh Nahyan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Sports Council has given the honor of opening UAE’s biggest state-of-the-art Thalgo Spa located in Abu Dhabi Country Club on Tuesday, 24 February 2015, marking a milestone by opening the doors to the public.

The spa has unique features covering an area of 2000 sq. meters and includes the region’s first Polynesian massages.

Mohsen Mahfouz, General Manager of Abu Dhabi Country Club said: “Along with our strategy to meet with Abu Dhabi’s 2030 vision and to provide the UAE community with the best wellbeing and spa available in the world, we have coordinated with the French spa to open the biggest spa in the country to be based at the Abu Dhabi Country Club. As part of our strong belief that good mind comes with good health we have opened our doors for the best spa in this industry to provide excellent services to our guests and visitors”.

Abu Dhabi Country Club Operations Manager, Samer Massalkhi added: “Thalgo Spa comes as an added value to the services and facilities that we provide in Abu Dhabi Country Club. Therefore, having the biggest spa in the UAE is an additional footprint marked by the Club within the hospitality industry.”

The newly unveiled spa in the capital offers a mind soothing experience in the finest Arabian tradition to its potential clients.

The strength of the spa itself speaks volumes, as it has 23 treatment rooms and an elegant VIP set-up, which also comes along with a steam room, jacuzzi and a double bed to rest upon.

It offers a wide range of services for men and women, including massages, facials, soaks, and body treatments.

The Spa also accommodates a dedicated boutique that stocks Thalgo products.

The facility has eight treatment rooms for women, nine for men and six for VIP guests. All rooms are equipped with massage beds made from memory foam, making them the most comfortable and memorable.  

At the end of each section of the men and women areas lies an ice fountain, a sauna room and a steam room for two and more. The spa’s signature treatments are indulgent and impressive, with emphasis on facial and body treatments that also include the Thalgo massage and the Mahanan, inspired by Polynesian massages. Moreover, the Spa offers the lotus milk bath followed by an Indian-inspired massage infused with essential oils originating from pressed wood, ending with a lotus wrap.

Part of the Spa overlooks a view of an exquisite waterfall and greenery, giving you the feel of an all-natural surrounding as you fully relax your mind.
