Warwick Hotels partner with Macy’s through end of March

Five U.S.-based Warwick hotels offer guests 10 percent off local Macy’s purchases

NEW YORK (Nov. 20, 2012) –‘Tis the season for shopping, and for guests of the five U.S.-based Warwick International Hotels, this spree is slated to last through the end of March 2013. The hotels, located in New York City, Denver, Dallas, San Francisco and Seattle, have partnered with their local Macy’s to offer guests 10 percent off all in-store purchases during their stay through March 31, 2013.

“Guest’s keycards will contain a barcode for a Macy’s coupon, valid only in the stores in the hotel’s city. As this partnership is not nationwide, guests are encouraged to leave keycards behind after their stay for business associates, family and friends in that city,” said GPaul LeBlanc, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Warwick International Hotels.

“This idea was conceived following the success of a similar promotion with our two Paris hotels and the Galleries Lafayette in Paris,” said LeBlanc. “We approached Macy’s regarding our wish to form a partnership, and they were thrilled about joining forces with another long standing company of tradition and value.”

Each of the five U.S. Warwick hotels is located near a Macy’s store, making it convenient for guests to shop. The 10 percent discount is applicable to regular, sale and clearance-priced merchandise purchased within the store.

“Macy’s is an exceptional brand with a long-standing history,” said Tim Bathke, General Manager at Warwick Seattle Hotel. “They are very well-known to both national and international travelers and are involved with their communities – qualities the Warwick Hotels share in common.”

In addition to the new partnership between Warwick International Hotels and Macy’s, the 2012 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will pass by the Warwick New York Hotel on 6th Avenue at 54th Street for the first time ever. This marks the inaugural year of the parade’s southward route down 6th Avenue the Avenue of the Americas to Macy’s Harold Square.
