Worldhotels adds Hotel Berlin, Berlin to portfolio

The 701-room hotel is the first of the Swedish Pandox Group to join Worldhotels.

Worldhotels, one of the leading global groups of independent upscale hotels, further expands its Berlin portfolio with the addition of stylish Hotel Berlin, Berlin.

Located in City West, just a few steps from the vibrant Kurfuerstendamm, Potsdamer Platz and the well-known Berlin Zoo, the hotel boasts 701 guest rooms and suites – most of which have been designed by the renowned Peter Kempf of Svensk Inredning.  Each room blends traditional architecture with modern design elements and is complete with the latest in-room HDTV entertainment system and complimentary high-speed internet.

Guests can unwind at Bar Berlin, Berlin, a place-to-be for international and local visitors, or enjoy German as well as international cuisine at Restaurant Julius. In summer, the hotel’s Summer Garden provides a green and secluded retreat.

Classified as both Certified Conference Hotel and Certified Business Hotel by the German Business Travel Association, Hotel Berlin, Berlin also features 48 meeting rooms and suites with a capacity for up to 500 participants.

“We were looking for a strong partner with a proven track record in supporting big hotels with more than 500 guest rooms”, says Jan-Patrick Krueger, General Manager of Hotel Berlin, Berlin. “We are therefore thrilled to join the Worldhotels portfolio and benefit from the group’s strong sales and distribution force which will strengthen our position in the highly competitive Berlin market.”

“We are delighted to welcome one of the biggest and most popular hotels in Berlin to our portfolio”, comments Sven Doliwa, Vice President Sales & Business Development Europe, Middle East & Africa at Worldhotels. “With its cutting-edge design and its excellent meeting facilities, it perfectly complements our existing hotels in the city.”

Hotel Berlin, Berlin is celebrating its 55th anniversary this year and has recently announced the appointment of Jan-Patrick Krueger as the hotel’s new General Manager. In line with joining Worldhotels, Hotel Berlin, Berlin has also revamped its corporate identity this October. The new identity underlines the hotel’s innovative and unique character.
